Hey guys, I realize we have the CAGwiki to search for Gamestop/EB Games trade in Values (TIV) but it seems that it's been neglected for a lot of newer titles. Most newer titles are nowhere to be seen, and many of the games on the list have not been updated for so long that they're no longer relevant.

I was wondering, is there anywhere else you know of that keeps records of these TIV's? I'm sure there HAS to be somewhere online that you can search for most, because my local stores won't discuss TIV over the phone and it'd be really great to compare other sites (like eStarland) to see which gives the most). Please let me know. Thanks guys!

Gamestop.com usually has a few of the newer titles listed on their site, that mixed with the Wiki will probably give you a solid base.

Well the site lists about 8 titles for each system... most of which are updated and therefore drop off the list forever basically. Like I said, I love the idea of the CAG Wiki but for the most part it seems people don't update it much anymore. Most of the games were updated last in 2007 and most games released in the last few months are nowhere to be seen :) Thanks though JMClarkent.

You can always call the stop nearest you and they can look it up. (just don't give them a huge list, I hate when someone does that and they tie-up the phone line)

Okay thanks Hybrid. I really only have one or two games to ask them anyway (GTA IV for the Xbox 360 being the major one). Thanks! Can't hurt to try I suppose.

Youre prolly going to get like $25 trade in value. Why dont you just sell it on ebay or amazon or craigslist or the newspaper personals or anywhere else for like $45-50?

I really dont see how people still trade their games in.

TIV is $35 for GTA...I was hoping to get like $40 and take advantage of the trade in with extra 20% (+10% Edge) deal they have going right now.

I don't normally trade in games either :) I just have a couple copies of this game was hoping to score a little extra store credit (since you can get games without paying additional tax on them). I never trade in games unless it benefits me to do so ^_^ I agree...I can't see why some people trade in games for pennies on the dollar either.

If anyone here wants GTA IV for like $50 shipped let me know =)

Oh and for the record, Amazon takes like 15% plus listing charge as does eBay (sometimes more than Amazon even). So it really depends whether or not this is a better deal or not. I'm considering to make tabular data to compare all of the TIV for various sites at the moment. Thanks!

With $35 TIV you still get $45.50 for GTA after bonuses. I consider that to be on par with the cash you'd get elsewhere. If you're gonna buy games with it anyway, it's a fair deal. Granted, I only consider those values fair for probably 3-4 games at any given time, but if I don't have one of those games I'll just sell it here or on TZ...or it gets Goozexed.

I send out almost all of my games with Goozex lately :) I think you can see that I'm quite obsessed via my signature link...

With GTA IV though I was looking around and perhaps Goozex is still best as it's nearly $50 in credit when you think about it. The only nice thing about the Gamestop credit is that I can use it towards game systems and accessories which is always nice. I'll have to think about it for now ^_^
