everything lookds good except the tv input is a single rca cable.. and the cord runs directily into the back of the atari..... any idea on how i could hook it up to a tv?

Yes. Buy one of these (http://www.computercablestore.com/Video_Adapter_RCA_Female__PID920.aspx) and put it on the end of the RCA cable. Connect it to a TV. And there you go.
