No, you will still be receiving many movies with Canadian English/French covers. It's a Canadian store you are ordering from. In any case, that is what I have heard from this thread and others.

It seems like the big thing is the combo formats are almost always normal US versions and the standard HD DVDs are almost always English/Francais. At least I've ordered enough HD DVDs from them now that none really stand out lol. The worst part is that is on the side of the case which just loods odd.

No, not really. The PQ is better than the SD version, but it's not a mind blowing difference by any means.

I wouldn't really suggest buying the HD version if you have the SD already, but you would be better off getting the HD version if you have neither.

well I bought The fast and the furious HD-DVD got it last week, I didn't know I was going to get the combo disc so when I got I was like cool, anyways I'm using the Xbox hd-dvd on my pc the problem is that it will not play the Hd version it only plays the regular version. When Im playing the regular version it tells me to flip the dvd to watch the HD-DVD version but I get "No Disc Found". All the HD movies I have play fine. Any ideas?

You have to update the HD DVD firmware. Just hook your 360 to the Internet and put in the F&F HD DVD side and it will show you that there is an update available and after you do that everything is going to be fantastic and working 200% and you will be :bouncy:

My 360 is connected to the internet. I don't get an option to update I just get a "Can't read disc" error. :cry: I'm pretty sure I already have the latest firmware cause I remember getting an automatic update when I bought the player.

The corrupt data prevent movies with special menus from loading... I kid you not. I had this problem with knocked up. It played but installed currupt data that prevented movies that used that menu from working correctly. Just to clarify I am not talking about the xbox live updates I am talking about the menu based updates that are on particular discs... If you have seen a disc installing the first time you start it ...that is what I am talking about.

Yeah, just access the memory function on the dashboard and click the hd dvd players memory. Delete all that. Upadte the HD DVD PLAYS firmware first. Then go into the settings of the hd dvd player and tell it to no longer access the internet. That will stop it form doing all these unnecessary title updates which are usually the cause of the problems.

Received my 2nd order yesterday, 8 movies for $62. Too bad they sent me Cinderalla Man instead of Children of Men, as I have no desire to watch it. Seems like whoever is pulling their orders needs to pay a little closer attention to their job. After the sales from this site, the only two movies left that I want in HD are Hot Fuzz and Pitch Black.

Received my 2nd order yesterday, 8 movies for $62. Too bad they sent me Cinderalla Man instead of Children of Men, as I have no desire to watch it. Seems like whoever is pulling their orders needs to pay a little closer attention to their job. After the sales from this site, the only two movies left that I want in HD are Hot Fuzz and Pitch Black.

LOL... that is the exact same mistake that happened to me... Cinderella Man is a good movie, but I had it already... your best bet is track them down when they are on live chate b/c you will never reach them otherwise

These titles in this thread are HD-DVD's. PS3 only plays Blu-rays, not HD-DVD's.

Well, I got my shipment for the order I made while they were running the free shipping but prior to the drop to $3.99 for some titles. In all, I got 44 HD-DVDs for $301 which came out to $6.85 a pop. I already had several of these on DVD but at that price it was worth the upgrade (I have a killer 70" Sony).

For players, I primarily use the Xbox add-on. For the bedroom, I also have a Toshiba player that only goes to 1080i. Does anyone know where to get deals on a good player? With my HD-DVD collection now approaching 70 titles, I kind of feel I should have a back-up player.

They messed up my order too. I order 6 movies on my first batch and they sent me Dante's Peak instead of Dawn of the Dead. I have no clue what to do or how long it will take to replace it.

I talked to the live chat lady and she let me know ALL of the hd-dvd's are shipped from their Canada website. Also if you click on the pictures of the hd-dvd movies you can tell whether or not they will have french writing on them.

It doesnt really matter if they have the french writing on them, its not like Im going to be staring at the packaging for hours on end, or even getting rid of these movies... this was like years ago ordering cheap dvds from another canadian site and getting some of the same bilingual covers... no big deal

I've ordered at least 50+ HD-DVD's from Inet. If you look at the thumbnail image for the movie on the site, it will show if it's got french or not. All mine
matched up to them. I think I got maybe a dozen or so french.

I personally think some of the Canadian artwork is way better than the US artwork. For example, The Mist's Canada release has a way more badass cover.

That being said, I think the only bilingual HD-DVD cover I've gotten is Miami Vice. Just look at the thumbnail, and if it looks different than what you've seen usually odds are it'll have French on it.
