2D vs. 3D - Round 2 - Action RPG's

Round 1 (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26935) saw 2d take a lead over 3d in a 69 to 30 win. so now, time for round 2!

That is a tough choice, because all are such great games. For me though, no 3D game like this has reproduced the joy I felt while playing LTTP or the original LoZ.

yeah i try to make them tough choices, when i posted this i wasnt sure which to vote for myslef, but i decided to go with 3d simply because of dark cloud 2

3d Action/rpgs are more actiony, while 2ds are more RPGy

I prefer 3d because they offer great battles and descent puzzles
2ds are more puzzle filled with mediocre battles

Man, this is a hard one. I went with 3D, mainly because of the N64 Zeldas and Kingdom Hearts. If the question had been about regular RPG's instead of action, I'd have gone with 2D...

This is VERY hard. On the one had I love the original Zelda, and on the other......ah hell, the original trounces all. 2D for me.

They are both about the same, but I choose 2d because 3d tends to be more about the graphics than about the gameplay.

While there are 3d games that kickass, nothing can beat LTTP and similarly 4 Swords.

2D by far again. Secret of Mana, SoulBlazer, Zelda, Zelda III, Battle of Olympus, Crusader of Centy, Shape Shifter, Beyond Oasis, etc etc etc. What's 3D got? Overrated OOT and crap like Dark Cloud? No thanks.
