Okay, I don't know if you guys know or not, but I run a Dreamcast website, www.dreamcastersrealm.com. It's pretty much one of the few DC sites still around nowadays.

Although right now the site is just a shell of itself, we plan on doing some pretty cool upgrades in the very near future.

Anyway, I got an email yesterday from Graham Parker. If you don't know who this guy is, he's the one who ran Sega World Weekly for a long time. Now he's an intern at Lik Sang.

Here's the email I got from him:

"Dear Dreamcaster's Realm,

Sorry to email two people, but last week I tried contacting
dreamcastersrealm@burntmail.com and it bounced back. Do you know if that
address still works?

It's Graham Parker here, I used to write Dreamcast Weekly (later named Sega
World Weekly), and being a Dreamcast site, perhaps you heard of it (don't
worry if you haven't, lol!)? Right now though, I'm working as an intern at
Lik-Sang, so greetings from Hong Kong! As you probably know, Sega sites are
a somewhat dying breed these days, so it's good to see one still updating,
and hopefully things will pick up for you again. We're actually looking for
new sites to support here, and would love to be a sponsor of the
Dreamcaster's Realm.

For the last month of my internship here I've received TONS of great items,
giveaways and discount codes for contests, reviews and so on. I'll be
leaving come August 31, but until then, I wanted to ask if we can work
something out to sponsor your site. The target of all this though, is to get
new contacts with web sites out there and of course have some people linking
to us, or even better going to shop on our website.

I'm sure that many of your visitors are already getting some of their stuff
from us, import gaming is BIG nowadays and we make it really easy Just
quickly, here's a list of what we could possibly do (please understand that
this depends on the approval of staff here) and also on the products
available:

- Competition with prizes like import games
- Sending you free samples for reviews
- Some hot free giveaways (Counter Strike Strap, anybody?)
- Discount Codes for your site (linked to you, you even get commission)
- Personal 10% discount for all your own orders
- Sponsorships are usually continued throughout the year

How does that sound?

Graham "Tails"

That may not sound like a whole lot, but it's really exciting for us to get the chance to be sponsored by them.

Hopefully, we'll get okayed at being sponsored and can look forward to come cool stuff to review and feature cool prizes for our readers.

Anyway, I just thought a few of you might be interested in it.

Hey, pretty sweet. I've picked up a ton of DC games recently for next to nothing, and should probably check out your site anyways.

That is pretty nice. I didn't know you had a DC site! It's a good site from what I've looked at so far.

Yeah, but like I said, it's just a shell right now. There's a lot of dead links and stuff right now. But that will all be fixed this week.

You guys should check back then. We're also going to be doing another redesign of the site.

hey, yeah i know im a major nerd, but oh well.. i just looked at your side and have this habit of checking sites codes when i go to them.. so i looked at yours and noticed i didnt see and meta keyword tags.. i jsut skimmed it so i could have missed them, but you may want to check on it and if there arnt any, add a few.. it REALLY helps your site gets picked up by search engines like google, ect.. but the site looks great!

Yeah man, I actually am. I'm always looking for people to help me out on the site.

I'm probably going to get the site back kickin' again this week, so I will contact the people who've said they wanted to help out.

Also, I plan on expanding the site to include all consoles, as well. That means I'm going to be needing some section editors to run their respective sections. I'll be including some sort of PHP script that will allow the editors to easily update their section, too.

We plan on some pretty cool things for the site in the coming weeks.

Thanks for all the good feedback guys, I really appreciate it.

Wow, the site looks great. I've had a Dreamcast for a few years already, but I'm still constantly looking for new games to buy. This site is exactly what I needed and I'm glad to see the DC community is still up and running. Keep up the good work.

It never shipped. The new content was released as a PC expansion but strangely didn't find its way onto the PS2 version.

Isn't Graham Parker a bit old to be an intern? I remember buying his biggest hit on vinyl.

Grave~ Site looks good. I'm in kind of a Dreamcast mode again lately, hoping to score a Treamcast (portable DC) soon.

Any idea where I can find a copy of Half Life on DC? I see your site had a review of it & I've been dying to play it since it was due out oh so many years ago.

asking for roms bad.
Go find it yourself
/dick mode

Seriously though, it was never released to any store in any country. they made a few in-house copies, and eventually some of those got leaked, and that unfortunately is the ONLY way to get it.

Didn't ask for the rom so need for dick mode. His site did say there were copies to buy on ebay...just wondering if anyone knew where to get a copy.

I really love to have my hand in something cool like this, meaning, I'd really like to help you with this site. I don't own but two DC games, so I don't think I'd be very good for reviews, but anything else, I'd be more than happy to help. Feel free to send me a PM or IM if you're interested in my help.

That's a pretty awesome offer, hope it goes through.

What im saying is that NO copies are legal. The closest thing to "legit" are the copies made for in-house. First off, good luck finding one of those. Second, anything else on e-bay is a burned copy, of which you can do on your own for practically free.

Thanks for all the interest guys. If you guys are serious about helping out, that will be a Godsend, because we'll need some serious manpower if we're ever to get close to what we want to do.

While the Dreamcast import and homebrew scene is what will be our main focus, I realize it's also a dying system. With that in mind, it's important to also be able to reach people with other interest.

That's why I want to expand to include all the current and new systems coming out.

We're going to try to start getting really into the site, and we're planning on having several people go to E3 next year and report from there.

I plan on attending myself and so are a few other staff members. It would be really awesome to get a few of you to join the staff and we could all make the trip out there.

Anyway, I'd love to have all your help on the site. Thanks again, guys.

I'm too young to go to E3, so I'll settle with free merchandise from Lik-Sang. Just kidding!

Seriously though, I'd really like to help you out. I have some experience in building websites and am very creative and artistic. Plus, I like to write. If you need any of those skills, send me a PM.

My desk has a Laptop, a Dreamcast, and a 17 inch monitor on it. I can have the monitor display a 2nd screen for my laptop (laptop plays dvd while im on CAG on the monitor) or, using a vga box, display my DC games.

Also, there is a game called rival schools, which will be getting a comic from the people who are doing the really good street fighter comic. They are also making a darkstalkers comic.
