View Full Version : Anyone else have a violent temper?

I realize that I am more violent than most people and can be considered a serious hot head.
I just had an incident (2nd one in a week) where I got into a scuffle with a customer and had to get my bat out get into his face and go all off on him...he had 4 friends with him too but that never stops me...
basically I am in a poor mood and the group of college frat boys was really annoying me...it came to a boil when the main smart ass decided to touch my Brooke Burke calender and I politely (or as politely as I could) to not touch it...I explained that it was my calender and I don't look into the future months so I don't expect to. Of course he had some sly remarks which I promptly ignored...but another 5 mins later and while I am trying to help some othe nice customers...he continued to be a smart-ass and make comments...
so I flipped out...
I told him he ain't funny and for me to sit hear listening to him makes jokes was not fun. I then told him to leave or I would kick his ass..
his comment "oh cmon buddy this is reality not counter strike" (funny since I play cs religiously but he had no way to know that)
my reaction...I grabbed the bat... :-)
I guess reality set in for him at that moment. I started going at him and his friends were screaming they were gonna call the cops on me...I was like...I am gonna call the cops on you unless you get the fuck out. He was smart enough to leave...his friends stayed..I didnt have a problem with them and they even got 2 games...the leader "alpha male guy" told me his friends always getting into trouble like that and he needed to get his ass kicked to learn a lesson...
I almost gave him the lesson but he was smart enough to leave...
this was 5 mins ago and typing this out helps me to calm down...
thanks for listening guys and maybe others can share their moments of spazzing
ugh...the adrenaline rush afterwords is insane..I just shake.
The thing is I am just loosing my cool more often here than I would like. This is the second time in about a week I had to lose it..the other guy I actually grabbed and pushed even. He really ticked me off because he was being an ass in my store so I told him to shove it up his ass and get out. Then he leaves...but then like an asshole about 10 minutes later he returns..I wasn't having it. While his first visit was humorous albeit annoying..his second visit was downright stupid of him... again I got way to close to smashing his face in.
lol, that scumbag had what was coming to him. u did the right thing. good job. i also loose my cool quickly and i serioulsy think its because i play video games which require u to yell and throw things, i.e. Counterstrike :)

Get a corked bat. Then their heads will fly 10% farther when you knock them off.
Seriously, people really like to push others buttons nowadays and it seems like they don't know when to stop. It's your store and it's your right to ask someone to leave. Since you haven't clubbed anyone , I guess your temper's not an issue...yet.

I got an aluminum tee-ball bat..they rock because they are shorter thus making for a great one handed weapon.
btw- draknight ..another CAGer is in my store now...seems like a nice guy and I told him to read this when gets home...which is weird sort of twilight zonish since he is standing in front of me talking and I know later he will read this...weird..... HEY DRAK-did you get the K-1?

Only time I ever lost it like that was when I saw a old lady getting jumped for her purse by two teenagers, so I got in and stoped it. I hate thugs.
Edit: M.Bison pissed me off enough to throw my SNES turbo control at the TV back in the day. Damn him!

Me, for a 125 lb 5' 9" 15 yr old, I have a effin bad temper.
Like, if people annoy me so bad, I can take it, but when they start to bug me and make fun of me, I go crazy. (Luckily no one has made fun of me for 2 years...I used to be a nerd.)
I remember in 4th grade, a kid was buggin me for about a month straight. Well, I just about had it one day. And I grabbed the kid, tok my arm around his neck, and pressed my arm really hard. I was choking the kid for about a minute before he started crying. Then the lunch monitor noticed, and told me to let go. Well, til this day, he has never acted mean to me again.
So I too have a psycho temper. But, rarely does anyone push me to a bad point. You could think of me as naturally stoned, cuz I'm always pretty calm, mellow, etc.

When I was younger, I used to have a horrible temper but it only seemed to surface when I was playing NES games. I don't know how many controllers I broke when I was 10 or 11.
My idiot friend has an extremely bad temper. One time he was so pissed he punched a mirror and it sliced part of his knuckle off. He had to go to the ER to get it fixed and now has a huge scar. He still has the temper and his wife just divorced him because of it.

I think all the NYC cags should go to Defender's store with baseball bats and deliberately irritate him... then afterword they could just be like "oh gotcha" and he wouldn't mind because he'd realize it was all just a big joke. Perhaps next April would be a good time for this stunt. /Jack Handey
I'm notorious for losing my cool. I used to get really destructive. I once punched a hole in a wall at my apt because my now ex girlfriend said something to piss me off. Broke my lamp too dammit... anyway I try not to go totally nuts anymore, but if properly provoked I do snap from time to time, but seriously who doesn't, aside from nick?

Oh that reminds me of this little vietnamese guy I knew in high school. We were friends, but then for some reason he became very irritating so I decided that I would play tricks on him until he apologized for the Vietnam war (ya I'm horrible). Anyhow one day I put a plastic spoon on his back and for some reason he got really offended by that and he tried to stab me with this spoon... I nearly started crying I was laughing so hard. Some teacher saw him doing this and hauled him off, kicking and screaming like a lunatic.

Sounds like you resolved that well defender, being in NY and all those dudes could've been packin heat. Luckily those were just the usual dumbass frat boys.
My temper only surfaces when I'm losing at video games, or when my gf gives me attitude or hangs up on me. With video games I'll probably just throw the controller to the floor or wall accompanied by various curses against the player I'm controlling, religion, nature or cheapness. Thank God for those detachable Xbox wires.
Oh yeah, another time (well multiple times) I was about to bash my roomates head in with my guitar but my friend's held me back. Shaq fuer had no respect at all.

Oh God, don't get me started on roommates, if I had a penny for every time I was nearly about to whip a roommates ass over the past 4 years... I'd have $5.74 actually... simple respect is all I ask, meaning don't eat my food unless you ask, and clean up after yourself. I won't even say any more about the things my ex did to piss me off... there's a whole topic for that. As for video games, I used to get really pissed, I've calmed down though. The game that definitely pissed me off the most was Street Fighter 2, God I hated Bison on the harder difficulties. I don't know how many religions I accepted and renounced fighting him.

NO I didnt get upset over the calender..it happens often enough...I asked him to just leave it alone and explained why...what upset me was his assholishness afterwards where he felt the need to make snyde comments to my face while I am trying to help other customers who needed it...
the guy was also being a smart-ass jerk for the 5 minutes before that too...I am by myself in the store today since an employee broke his finger...so I have the back closed off...of course this guy went back there anyways...
he just seems the type to think he can do whatever he wants and that no one has any authority over him and life is a big joke...I corrected that quickly.

It's about respect. It's Defenders store, if he politely asked the guy not to look at his calendar then I don't see why there should've been any problems, well aside from the "customer" being a jackass, regardless of Defender's reasons for not wanting him to touch the calendar.

Yeah this guy had "I am a spoiled brat that deserves entitlement" written all over him...I am sure he grew up priviledged and I would be shocked if he ever has worked a real job.
I just didn't want to put up with his crap and he thought I had to. I corrected that. While I wouldn't have minded to rearranged his face my goal is to usually get these people out of my store so I can go back to work. This is my store...it's like my home.
Everyone that enters my store is my guest. Rude guests are asked to leave. Stores are PRIVATE property and those who enter the doors are not entitled to anything...they can be asked to leave for no reason and it's actually better NOT to give a reason. When I ask people to leave I just tell them to get out and it's my store and they are no longer welcome. Sometimes they refuse for whatever weird sense of pride or stupiduity...I usually get the bat and scream some profanity and get into their face...if that doesn't work then I call the cops to get them escorted...once the cops are called I usually get more aggressive knowing they will show up any minute to tell the guy he has to leave...I usually hope that the customer starts some shit so I have an excuse to beat the fuck out of them...
If I don't get out of this store soon you are all gonna be reading about me in the papers. I just can't take it. 10 years in here is long enough...

I never lose my temper except when I am drunk (and nowadays, I don't do a whole lot of drinking).
If someone really piss me off, I usually am calm on the surface but inside I'm looking for weakness. Usually I plan something to get back at them. Its devious but thats my nature.

Right now I'm the most laid back guy ever. Someone can literally say almost anything to me, and I can just write it off to their stupidity. When I was younger, though, I was very introverted and didn't know how to deal with it very well. A group of kids regularly picked on me, and one day one of them kicked over a bunch of my books. I snapped and gave him a flying knee to the back. He hit the ground hard, and never gave me shit again.

Speaking of customer service bats...
Working retail can be infuriating, especially when you have some attachment to the place and it's not not just a McJob. I'd gladly go back to my old bookstore job if I could make a reasonable living at it. I enjoyed being able to apply my range of knowledge and provide just the right item but unless you're an exec in a book chain you could be lucky to keep a studio apartment and food on the table.
I rarely had problems with belligerent customers. I'm not huge but for some reason many seem to find me menacing when I'm in a bad mood. Back in high school they were desparate to be rid of me due to my failure to fit in combined with a demonstrated talent for finding causes of combustion. There were occasions when I would be running the store with one of several teenage girls as the only other employee present and customers might hassle them. Not for long.
There was one night when I and the girl were feeling intense digust for the customers who'd come by so far on that shift. At one point the phone rang and she put on an Annie Potts voice to answer it. "Ghostbusters! Whaddya want?" The confused caller hung up and left us laughing uncontrollably for several minutes. We felt much better after that.

Almost happened to me (girl had her freinds hit her and they claimed I attacked her, one of her freinds told me her ex-con dad was going to kill me*), but I proved the existence of a conspiracy to frame me. If I had not gotten that evidence (documents, recordings, witnesses) I would probably have done time, but luckily the bitch backed down when I preseted the evidence I had against her.
I still got suspended, though, because it was a private school.
*recorded on tape
The moral: trust no one.
Btw, last time I lost my cool was in sixth grade. I was at a religious private school (diff one, the one mentioned above was a catholic high school) and the teacher was really pissing me off with his bullshit.
When he turned to write a bible verse on the board I jumped out of the window and climbed onto the fire escape. The fire escape stopped 15 feet above the ground and a teacher saw me from a window.
I am proud of the fact that I had spent more time in the office than any other kid (though my 2 best freinds tried).
We also were not allowed to draw or write anything in school besides what was specifically stated in the lesson. My art teacher made a real shitty bird drawing, and asked us to draw it. That is when the Quackzillaİ comic strip started, and I got caught twice, but I drew about 400 different strips.
And Pokemon cards were banned because they were 'evil' (wtf? I don't get these people). So naturally I smuggled a lot of them into school, and developed a trading system where we would hide the cards in books (like slide them under the cover and stuff like that) and we would stick them in the cracks on the undersides of the old tables and alternate seats (ended with assigned seating). Even the fucking bathrooms were monitored, so if you did anything you had to cover it real good. Like creating distractions to buy time to pick a desk droor lock and get back permanantly confiscated stuff like pokemon cards and gameboys. My comic strips were, unfortunately, confiscated and burned.
I made trouble a form of protest.
And I transitioned from one topic to another without posting anything that is fully related to the topic at hand. I just felt like practicing typing.
All the stuff I wrote is true, albeit disturbing.
And yes, Quackzilla is copywrited 1997-2004.

I'm normally pretty mellow but when I lose my temper it's not very pretty.
A few years back I went insane and started beating the shit out of one of my friends and stabbed him a pen a few times, and even started beating him with a stick I had in my room. He was fighting back and kicked me really hard in the stomach and hit me in the jaw but it just made me madder. he finally got me kicked off of him and I snapped out of it. Neither of us had any idea what happened, I just snapped for no reason and went after him.
But other than that I'm pretty mellow and good at controlling my anger. But when I get to mad it takes alot of will power to hold back.

I'm actually calm most of the time. I'm actually too laid back to be in management (acording to Gamestop) . It takes a lot to get me to that level. Something did piss me off the other day in the store. I didn't get violent, but.. well. A woman came in to do a credit check for a cell phone. Her credit rings up good, no deposit and I go in to telling her about the phone packages. Her little girl comes up to her and says "mom.." the woman Slaps her across the face and her "shut up stupid, Mommy is doing something important." I rip the credit check in half and tell her to get of my store and don't come back. I also told her she was lucky I didn't call the cops. I gave the little girl my business card and said "if she keeps doing this to you, call me"

I gave the little girl my business card and said "if she keeps doing this to you, call me"
Damn. Good for you man:applause: . To bad the mother probably took the card away from her when they were out of the store.

So... how about a violent story from tonight, as my final post before 1000...
I was over at a friend's place, ya know a couple of us drinking some beers, I'm a little on edge cuz my ex girlfriend (the one I mention in 4 of every 5 posts) lives just across the street. Anyway, these are new apts and everyone is out having a good time. I have this huge 5 ft inflatable monkey and we prop him up set all our beer cans by him and have him chilling on the porch in a chair like he's passing out drunk. It was hilarious. So, later on we go inside leave Dr Bangos (the monkey) out there to chill and the dumbass neighbors come up and one of them smacks the monkey over and tosses all the beer cans around. The guy was clearly drunk and I got pissed. I dunno if it was the girlfriend or just utter lack of respect this kid was showing us. I go to my van and I just happen to have a set of croquet mallets in case someone wants to play. I scoop up two of them like a psycho and walk back up to the porch. I just take a full force swing intentionally 2 inches away from this kids face. They get freaked out, and one of them says "whoa we're just joking around, but if that would've been serious this wouldn't last long." I got pissed, damn right it wouldn't last long... knowing I could just take all 3 of em out at once. Bunch of freshman mind you, at least until august 31st when I'll *maybe* acknowledge them as sophomores. Anyway, my buddies came out and we were about to kick some ass but these dudes took off, needless to say they're gonna have to find a new buyer. This is gonna be a funny year, because most of the kids next door were ok, but one dumbass could mess it up for all of them. I'll laugh, next time this kid does something disrespectful like that and tempers shoot off and he gets his fatass kicked. Just thought I'd share. :twoguns:
