Considering the CE comes with 3 months of play, that is a fantastic deal if you are interested in the game.

It's not that great of a deal since you can get it on ebay for ~$16 shipped. And the 3 month subscription is to SOE's premium web site features, not the game. You only get 1 free month of the game.

That said, I've been hearing good things about this game (and seeing some pretty nice screenshots) and I wouldn't let what I said above deter you from trying it out. I haven't played it, but have been thinking about it.

Vanguard is quite good. I played the beta for a long time, and I bought the collector's edition as well.

The point of Vanguard is to bring MMORPGs back a notch, removing instancing, so everyone is playing in the same world. Grouping is a lot of fun because the game's death penalty is rough, and group cooperation is very important.

Made by the team who made Everquest 1 (but not Everquest 2), this is the *real* Everquest 2.

For $32.99 shipped, it's a great deal. I picked mine up when CompUSA went out of business for about the same price.

You're right, I misread the info on the official site for it.

That would also explain why it's hard as balls. :) Leveling in EQ1 could be a day job at some of the nastier levels.

I have one of these brand new and sealed that I want to trade. I should probably put it on my trade list...

I just did a search on Ebay, and did NOT see that for $16 ish at all!

Are you sure you are talking about NEW CE edition?
