So I've been using eBay for the past several years to sell games I no longer play, and flip a few to help get me through college. I've recently started to sell games again to make me feel less guilty about buying the new PS3 bundle but a potential red flag has been raised.
I'm selling my excellent condition Suikoden II (sold for $135) and the person who bought it has 0 feedback and just joined today. His address is confirmed buy not an unverified buyer. I remember stories about bidders doing charge backs and sellers being shafted as a result because Paypal won't side with them.
A few questions:
1) Is this still a problem?
2) Is there any way to protect myself from a charge back? I've already e-mailed him and asked him to send a check or money order in exchange for free shipping and await the bidder's response.
3) What happens if he does do a charge back. How can I get Paypal to side with me?
I'll probably send the bidder several pictures to verify that he agrees to buy the game in the condition it's in (since it's not mint) and then go so far as require signature confirmation.
I'm definitely not going to send the game till I am 100% confident I won't get frauded in the end and I won't mind taking a negative feedback if I can protect my investment (I have a 187 rating so no real biggie). Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
