Just say you got a 3rd-party controller and are supposed to get a 1st-party. i doubt you'd have trouble exchanging it if you have your receipt

i have the reciept as i just got it today but still i don't want them to hand me a used controller as this will be a lame made up employee policy in my local store.

There is no rule to have a first party controller with a system. They did nothing wrong at all.

Uh...I don't get it, the controller you get with a used system is *used*. What's the problem with getting a different *used* controller?

the controller was not used it came with just not as first party controller.

That is normal. Its a used system. Whats the issue???? If you would like a first party controller buy a new system.

alright you guys are right. just seemed strange not to get a sony brand controller as they had used systems there with sony controllers. my apologies
