Best case (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-bf-49-en-70-2o64.html), hands down. It took me forever to find a nice hard case for the slim, but this is perfect. Gamestop has it for $20 as well.

I have this case (http://www.amazon.com/A-L-S-Industries-PSP-Carrying-Case/dp/B000JLMZ0I/ref=pd_bbs_6?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1212865946&sr=8-6) and I like it quite a bit (sadly I never found a red one at my Target )

Fry's does have good deals on cards every now and again. Generally, I found Amazon had some great deals all the time.

I'm replacing Kratos with a plain red batter.y cover (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-bh-49-en-15-battery+cover-70-2mao.html)

Is that a Sony 1st party case?

Just get a Memory Stick Pro Duo and you'll be fine. Some of them come with the extender so they can be used in other devices, don't worry about that. Pro Duo and you're safe. I bought a Sony one, but Sandisk and a few others make great ones too.

I'm a fairly new PSP owner as well. Got my GoW bundle a week early (gotta love Walmart employees, heh).

Keep an eye on Fry's, they have 4gb pro duos on sale for $30-35-ish shipped pretty regularly. Just recently they had a $15-18 rebate (can't remember exactly) on them as well. In the meantime, here's a link to a Sandisk 4gb on Amazon for $35-36-ish shipped -

http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Memory-Adapter-SDMSPD-4096-Static/dp/B0015EW3BE/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1212909745&sr=8-4

If you want to carry around everything (AC power cord/brick, headphones, 4+ games, car charger, etc), I recommend this case.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Deluxe-Travel-Case-for-PSP-PSP200/sem/rpsm/oid/203190/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

It's got plenty of room, and is nicely padded. CC's website shows $19.99, and instore it was $24.99. They priced it down to the website price, though.

I also picked up from Gamestop's gamedays sale - Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for $19.99, Worms Open Warfare 2 for $14.99. Amazon had Crisis Core FF7 for $26 last week, and CC had Patapon for $9.99. So, between those, GoW and all the demos I downloaded, I am set for plenty of time killing at my Sat shift at work.

I'm still looking to get Jeanne D'arc, Pirates and Puzzle Quest as well. Like another poster mentioned, it's nice to grab a system when tons of great games are available at nice prices.

Good luck with getting the accessories you want at cheap prices.

1) Hori
2) It doesn't matter. If you're worried about dropping it, get a wriststrap. If you're worried about getting scratches on it, just go for a pouch that holds the Slim.
3) Check Newegg.
4) You might want to tell us what you're going to use it for first. Are you going the sleazy route and downloading games onto your PSP, watching videos on it, etc.
5) The old ones last longer if you put it in your Slim.

in that case even a 32mb card is more than enough.

If you just need the MS for saves Radioshack has 2GB MS for $20 and 4GB for $40 not to great of a price but otherwise you'll havet o wait for a deal. I installed an full body invisishield on my God of War PSP and I love it. Keep in mind the body shield is VERY hard to install and get it right. They sell the screen only which is easy to install and I think it's worth its price. I've used these on Cell Phones and Ipods before and it's great. As for the case go with the Sony first party one, just got it from GS yesterday and It's very good.

Get the shield. When installed correctly there's no air bubbles, you can't see it, and it's virtually indestructable. A lifetime replacement for $2.95 (shipping and handling) is icing on the cake.

Just use a lot of water with a bit of liquid soap in application. Also, just get the screen protector, not the full face shield- there's too many corners.

i'd say HORI is the BEST OF THE BEST! SCREEN PROTECTOR OUT THERE!... just make it sure that your place is dust free... no water needed! It's a no brainer to get a bubble in HORI... c'mon! This is high quality screen protector film... not those knock off ones...

I disagree, even without illegal things, its worth it to have a 1gb for the demos and such on PSN Store, few as they are.

I’ve had my joytron case for a couple of months now and I really like it. It fit’s the psp slim perfectly. The pieces do not slide or wiggle at all. It’s the slimmest case I’ve found. I was actually hoping it would add a little bulk because I have trouble holding my psp slim for long periods of time, bug I didn’t notice any extra bulk. It seems to protect well too. I don’t think you could throw it against a wall but it keeps the scratches off and I think it would protect against a short fall. I paired mine with a semi-hard case for traveling. Shipping was very fast and I got a hand written note just like everyone else thanking me for the purchase. It was very easy and self explanatory to put on. I think I’m going to eventually put on an invisible shield for the screen but I haven’t had any problems with it whatsoever. Great product .

Maybe someone should put this in the deals page?
