I downloaded some pictures off LimeWire, but halfway through, I cancelled them, so naturally they went into my Incomplete folder. But when I try to delete them by right clicking, it doesnt have a "Delete" option. I ran WinDoctor, and it corrected a bunch of shortcuts, but it still won't delete. Dragging them into the Trash doesn't work either. I clicked Properties on them, and it looks like they aren't even files, just empty icons. How do I get them off?!

Sometimes you get really lucky and you don't have to download porn to get wonderous spyware... that's a really raw deal if you ask me by the way, I mean if my computer has to be fucked at least give me some eye candy as compensation.

Lol Mr. Anderson, you've completely given yourself away.

Are they taking space? Can you still see part of the picture or the filename? If not, then you probably shouldn't worry about it.

You should be able to delete them by finding the files in the LimeWire folder on the C: drive. Make sure Limewire is completely turned off first. Then a simple delete should work.

Delete them in LimeWire in the downloads window.

Yeah....that didn't work. I really need this off my computer. From what I can tell, there are no files. It's just empty space with a label. A very risque label. Somebody save me.

A question before I give advice: When you try to delete them (by clicking on the file to highlight it, then pressing the DEL key), does it give you an "access denied" error? Or does it just do nothing? Also, are they only in your Incomplete folder?

Did you try to delete them through limewire FIRST? If not, you're screwed. It's likely that those files are only accessible via the program that created them, since they are temp files created BY limewire.

Man, speaking of porn, Pics just don't cut it. Maybe when I was 14 or 15, but now, as a true porn afficianado, the static images just do nothing....;

Sounds like you need to cultivate your imagination, my man.

Pah, all this damn technology has made me lazy. It's all "Point, click, point, click" ad nauseum. IT should be easier. I want an Augmented Reality System that will download Hi-Resolution porno to my HMD as I run errands. Man, that would be sweet.

It just does nothing. And yes, they are only in my Incomplete folder.

Okay, well - hopefully you're using XP. If not, let me know, and I'll adjust tactics. First (and this might sound weird): Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL, and that'll bring up the Windows Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab, then find explorer.exe on the list. Click on it to highlight it, then click on End Process. It'll ask if you're sure; click Yes. This will kill your taskbar, but it also frees up any locked files. Click on File at the top, then New Task underneath it, and type in cmd and press Enter. If we're lucky, you know how to use a command prompt.

Change the directory to wherever your Limewire incoming folder is. I've never used it, so I'm assuming you'd type something like cd \program files\limewire\incomplete. From there, delete the (ahem) offensive files: del filename.ext. Whether it works or not, close the window.

Go back to the Task Manager, then File > New Task, and type in explorer and hit Enter. This brings back your taskbar, and everything should be back to normal. You can also reboot from here if you'd like.

Let me know how it goes.

The file might not have the delete option because it uses invalid characters that Windows will not recognize. When in command prompt, you may need to use the deltree command on the entire directory or use wildcards on the file name.

If the file name started with asdf and continued with some invalid characters, you can use 'del asdf*.jpg'.
