It depends on how good the reviews are. I haven't been able to find a single player game that hooks me in with a good story or something like that. I might rent it right away, and if I like it, I will buy it. Or I can preorder it at GameRush for $30. Either way is great.

Since I've discovered this site, I haven't paid full price for a game for a while (except Spider Man 2, for 30$, still less than the MSRP, but more than I usually pay). However, this fall will be the exception. With not only Fable, but DOAU, GTA SA, PSO 1 and 2 +, Metal Gear Solid 3, Doom 3 (XBox), Street Fighter Anniversary (XBox), Half Life 2 (XBox - it could happen), Sims 2 (not sure if my computer can handle it, but if it can I'm there) and of course, Halo 2 all coming out within weeks of each other, as well as other solid titles such as MAT2, GT 4 and MK 6, this will be a very expensive season, even though probably half these games will be delayed.

Project Ego is the reason I bought an XBOX. I preordered it yesterday with 2 CC $5 games, a $5 KOTOR from Best Buy and a $13 FFX. $28 for what could be the best XBOX game ever, yeah I'm in.
By the way, KOTOR is $14.95 at BB this week. I found a cashier who took the coupon from the GGC and I had 5 reward zone bucks. You might try out the GGC. $10 for KOTOR is an awesome deal if you can get it.

After I finish Breath of Fire, Tales of Symphonia is the next RPG on my list. After TOS, I'll be looking for another RPG, and I'll seriously consider Fable.

I traded in 5 of the CC $5 games a few months back when EB had their Fable trade in deal. I had to go get my preorder DVD from them since there were no freebies at the time I preordered. I still have not watched the DVD as I am afraid it might ruin some of the game. Plus I already played a bit of Fable at E3 so I know it should be pretty good.

Don't worry, it doesn't ruin any part of the storyline. It's basically 'making-of' type material. Nothing too in-depth as to the story.

I agree. I think that if Microsoft releases a Xbox bundle with an extra controller, Fable, and Halo 2 for the holiday season the bundles would sell like crazy.

This is probably the only game that can come close to the Halo 2 sales, although it probably won't come as close.

Almost everyone that I know who owns an XBox has heard of Fable and will consider purchasing it if it gets good reviews.
