I recently bought an Atari 7800. It is the pro system. The problem is that the power comes on but I don't get a picture or sound. The cable that came with the Atari is like an AV cable, except both ends are only the yellow. I plug the yellow into the system and into my audio input on my TV, but I don't think that's right. If anyone knows what I need or what I need to do please let me know. Thanks

IIRC, you need an RF adapter. I think the one from the NES or SNES will work.

Good find, and glad it worked for you!
I'm so jealous. The 7800 was my very first console (not counting a hand-me-down Radio Shack TV Scoreboard) and I regret getting rid of the 7800 to this day.
Desert Falcon, Ball Blazer, and Impossible Mission FTW!

Don't forget you can play 2600 VCS games with no adapter .
Enjoy !

I might have to get my 7800 when I go home next. I brought the Genesis back this time but I've always loved playing Pac-Man and Space Invaders.
Don't forget to pick up the 7800 version of Double Dragon. It might not be that great these days but I spent many a hot muggy Georgia day throwing down. It even has 2 player co-op.
