circuit city warranty for consoles

i bought my psp from circuit city. I want to know if it's worth it spending the 49 or 79 that they are offering me to cover my purchase. I have read on the internet that people have to call in at this service number and after hours of fustratiion they get a gift card.

what is your experience.
How much does it cost to do it through sony or just to replace dead pixels or whatever through sony

That's 25%-40% of the purchase price of the PSP. IMO, not worth it. Use that money to buy yourself a game or two.

Use the money on a PSP game(s). It's not worth it if you don't abuse your PSP. If you get dead pixels try to return it, if you can't it's not the end of the world to have a dead pixel. I had one on gba, you get used to it.

I got my extended warranty from Walmart (got the GoW bundle a week early there) for either $19.99 or $29.99, I forget.

So, much cheaper, I'd return the CC one and go get it there or at Target (cheap extended coverage there as well) if you haven't already opened it.
