I had a 4th Gen 20GB Black & White iPod, and I was satisfied with it for years until the hard drive started jamming, and I had to pop the thing open almost every day to fix it. I hate touch screens, so I'm hoping to get another iPod with a click wheel. Any deals or any ways to save some $$$?

Circuit City would prolly be your best bet. If you were lookin at a new iPod Classic http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185714

There is a $40 off anything over $200 http://img222.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cc401990608ca8.jpg

Also there is a $25 gift card back for any purchase of a iPod Classic

Hope this helps. Everything is in that forum towards the bottom of the thread. I plan on trying this out for my birthday and give my 5th gen 30 GB to my dad who has wanted one forever.

Yes....it does, but in the thread I listed another was successful in purchasing a classic, I believe it also says no game systems but people are not having problems using it on PSP's and such in another thread I found the coupon in. Just because it says it doesn't mean that some worker at circuit city isn't going to either not notice it or notice and not even care. Social engineering is your friend, look for a employee who doesn't look like they've been working there for awhile, younger, if they say they can't take it say it's for you sick grandma. A little white lie is not going to bring down these big businesses. So what if you gotta work at em a little. If they deny you again say "Well, I'm sorry but I do not think I will be purchasing this." Leave, come back the next day try on another employee chances are they will allow it.

You can always get a used one. Check ebay and craigslist.

If you have the option, I'd get one from Sam's Club. You'll pay about $236 for a classic, but you'll also have the no questions asked return policy for life. If/when it dies, you can exchange it for a new one, or a gift card for the value of your old one (if there's a new model). My mother has burned through two already that have died just after the warranty ran out, and they took both of them back with no issue.

If you want a little change, take a look at the 2nd gen Zunes. It's got a click wheel (sorta) but if you want you can also use the normal up/down/left/right pad.

My sister's iPod was stolen, so we bought her a refurbished one for a graduation present. It actually came factory sealed. :)
