So last month my sweet bike was stolen, and now that I've had time to grieve I think it might be time to get a new one. But I don't want to spend as much money as I did last time. I'm looking for a men's beach cruiser, preferably black. So far this is the best deal I can find... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42312&item=3695684 112&rd=1 after shipping it comes to 130. I don't want to buy one from a store because they are all over priced because bikes pwn Davis. Anyway, if anyone knows of, comes across or finds a deal on a similar bike under 130, I would be eternally grateful. Hopefully I'll get some responses! [-o<

Have you tried walmart? Are you talking about a mountain bike type thing? Ididn't check your link but Wal-Mart sells a decent mountain bike for about 65 or so. I gots one myself.

Hmm, surprising about target not having them. Stores up and down the northeast have some schwinn cruisers that are very similar to that, for ~$77. Unless it's a regional thing, I'm surprised that you haven't been able to locate one there.

I've got a Schwinn Predator I'd be willing to part with for $40 or so. It's in decent shape although it needs 2 new tires. It's pretty tricked out - it has mag wheels, pegs on the front that fold out and the standard kind on the back and the handlebars can go 360. It hasn't been ridden in years though... I'll post a pic later if anyone in interested...

well, I live in Jersey but that probably doesn't help because shipping to buffalo or pittsburgh kills it - you could always ride it home!

Target carries one Beach Cruiser, called Surfside and it's made by Huffy and sells for $99.99, I believe. It is single speed and pedal brakes. It is red and black in color and 26". It looks identical to the auction one, only the handlebars are chrome. They used to have another model called Ocala, it was the Surfside only with gears and handbrakes, but they no longer carry that model, though some may still have some in backstock. All Targets carry the Surfside, your Target may just be out of them. It may not be on their website as stuff sometimes varies from website stock to in store stock.

I know all this because I build bikes for Target and other retailers.

If they don't have it, K Mart sells the exact same bike, only it's called Sante Fe II and it's maroon in color. Exact same bike though. That's the only Beach Cruiser K Mart sells. As for Wal Mart, I'm not sure what they have, my compnay doesn't do Wal Mart, they have their own in house guys build them.

Though all the different retail bike models at like Target and Kmart etc are pretty much all the same bike, Targets Beach Cruiser maybe named different than KMarts, but it's the same bike, same with some other models like their Mountain Bikes and such.
