Can anyone identify this Playstation Accessory for me?

This seems to plug into a Playstation controller port and has an RJ-45 female port (like you use for an Ethernet connection) on the other end. Anyone know what this is?

Maybe it was that old system link thing?

Yeah, I don't think it's the system link thing, unless it's an add-on in case you want to link more than 3 consoles.
