Never really thought I'd say this about a $3 game, but with 2K5 being $15-$20...it's hard to justify spending any money at all on a two year old football game.

Then again, if they dropped the price to $0.99 I'd feel compelled to buy one.

$20 for any sports title is more than I'm willing to pay. The difference between successive editions is minimal. All you get is an updated roster, some minimal AI/graphics improvements, and a couple of additional features (owners mode, training camp drills) that add nothing to the basic gameplay. I can't believe that over 1 million people purchased Madden 2005 for $50, when it isn't a substantial improvement over 2004.
