If you had already started Persona, then just boot up FES. It's basically the director's cut of Persona 3.

Afterwards, it really depends on your time. I'd say go with Nocturne then DDS. Normally I would say start with DDS, but your experience with Persona 3 doesn't really make you 100% new to the series.

DDS is the best jump-in point for people that are familiar with standard RPGs and want to try an SMT game. The mantra system is very similar to FFX's sphere grid system, for one. You also don't have to juggle 8 slots worth of abilities as you are free to swap them out in DDS. Finally, with DDS you have a set cast of playable characters and don't have to continually combine/hunt demons. By not having to keep track of these things, you will be freed up to learn the battle system and the spell names/categories.

Of course, if you feel up to par with the system, then I would recommend P3, Nocturne, then DDS. Also, be sure to get DDS2 if you don't have it already as DDS1 will leave you with a bit of a cliffhanger.

Oh sorry, I was responding to the reviews bit of your previous post. :D

I'd go with DDS first. It's the easier game to get accustomed to. They've all got strong plots and share similar themes and all are worht enjoying. Magic plays a huge role in these games - specifically weaknesses and stat-affecting magic. Wherein getting poisoned in a Final Fantasy game isn't the end of the world, it really could be in an SMT title. Take it slow and don't be afraid to keep a notepad nearby to jot down reminders like "Agi is fire" or "Bufu is ice". It's also handy to write down weaknesses for specific monsters in each dungeon.
