For a while now, one of my friends has made reference to a certain movie but he can't remember the title of the movie. He can remember the plot and the two or three one liners that made it semi-memorable to him. If anyone can figure out what the name of this movie is, you won't win anything but everyone will know that you know your movie stuff.

Here's what he can remember:

-the plot involves a guy who is about to get married going to buy a car (maybe for the wedding?). He ends up spending all his money on an expensive sports car. He was originally going to buy a more economical car, but he can't say no to the hot woman who is selling the sports car.

-At a diner, there is a shot of some weird concoction (maybe a burrito?) in an oven or microwave. Someone looks at it and says "Do not...eat...that."

-when the guy goes to pay, he asks the waitress/cashier (not sure on who it is) "what's the damage?" and they reply "your colon!"

-movie was likely made in the 80s.

I know it's not much to go on. Help me out! My friend has been wracking his brain over this for a while now.

I'm sad to say, I've seen this movie but can't recall the title.

This sounds familiar. Was the exotic sports car a Lambourghini? Does he choose to get married to his original bride and leave the new chick all alone at the end, not long after she supplies him with her idea of a bachelor party ("I guess I'm your bachelor party tonight")?

I do think it's an exotic sports car. Not sure about who he ends up with.

I too have seen that movie, but the title escapes my memory.
Doesn't the sports car end up breaking down right away and the owner of the dealership is just some scammer?
I'll try to remember the title, although it's not worth remembering.

I have sent that link to my friend for him to confirm, but that looks like it's the one. Much thanks, you have possibly ended a 3 year odyssey.

And it's all thanks to Google and it's grasp of incredibly vague descriptions. The search that turned it up as the number 1 result: "wedding Lambourghini movie."

We tried googling for it, and also searching IMDB, but I guess we weren't using the right words in the search. I think he was hung up on 'sports car' as a search term.
