What do you want Kojima to Work on Next?

Well now that MGS4 is out, Kojima will soon be working on another IP now. However, I was just wondering, what game do you want to see him working on next?

Personally, I would like to see Policenauts come stateside.

On a side-note, I'm going to sound extremely stupid for asking this, but I have to...I am a bit behind on my gaming and never played any of the MGS games despite owning ALL of them. I want to begin playing them in order but I'm not sure which to play when it comes to the first Metal Gear Solid. Should I play the original for the PSX (which I have as both part of the box set essentials collection and the original release and greatest hits versions), or should I play the remake "Twin Snakes" for the Gamecube version? Any insight would be really welcome =) I realize I should probably just play MGS4 and get on with it, but I'm a stickler for playing games in order...heck, I haven't even played many Final Fantasy games because I'm playing them all in order despite most having no continuity whatsoever =P

I would play in sequential order:

If you have subsistence: ( MG1 then MG2 )
MGS1
MGS2
MGS3
MGS: PO
MGS4

If you want to just play them in chronological order ( where a lot of things would be explained early to you that would not seem as cool as it did to the rest of us because we played in order ) you would want this order, but I would recommend the first order.

No reason you can't play both.

I'd suggest you play the PS version simply because it is a monument to all gaming. The GC version - from what I understand - drastically overhauled all the movies in a sort of Poochy-extreme manner, as well as the first-person view makes it too easy (but I can't confirm either of these).

Unless you're one of those elitist punks that acts like they can't look at anything graphically subpar to Gears of War, and thus you COULD SIMPLY NOT play the PS version, but your posts do not entail such ideals.

Yes, good choice playing them in release order. You can appreciate the story and easter eggs much more.

Either version is fine, but I still find the original to be more fun.

I would prefer they don't touch MG and MG2, simply because they would end up adding even more retcons. I'll settle for the versions on the 2nd Subsistence disc.

A great way to damage a franchise is to make the game's creator uninterested in their own creation because they're forced to work on it endlessly. I think Kojima needs to make whatever he wants as long as he is passionate about it. Mega Man 2 was made because of it.

Still, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 could be interesting to see remade, but I think could be done competently with Kojima taking a minor role in development. I'd also want to see him take on Castlevania for one installment just for giggles.

Ever since it was announced, I had been hoping for the release of MGS4. Not because I had a strong desire to play the game but in hopes that Kojima would finally turn to ZOE3.

Few games have such a combination of great music, super fast-paced tight gameplay, awesome graphics, wonderful atmosphere, and epic bosses as ZOE2. Most games only nail a couple of those at once.

::High five:: Since you're the only other person to vote for Boktai. I would love to see it on the current gen console. Making use the PSeye or vision cam would be tricky since it would need to be bundled in with the game than. So I'm not sure how the sunlight thing would work. I wouldn't mind another ZoE either. And the MGS serie is dead, unless they did prequels, any new Metal Gear game wouldn't be solid, maybe a Metal Gear Raiden? Since everybody loves him so much now.

ZoE 2 was super epic. It was a great game, good story, awesome action. It's one of the PS2's best.

I didn't finish ZOE, and I never played the sequel. I didn't play Boktai (I own it, but I was never outside), and I haven't played Policenauts or Snatcher. If either of those two were remade/localized and made easily available, then sure, those two would be great. If we're talking either sequels or a new IP, I'd rather start fresh.
