I just got hired @ the CC in the City of Industry and was wondering how much everyone else made?
I was kinda shocked when he told me I'd be making $8.50 an hour
guess I can move up fast (hopefully)

Yeah, until the decide the people who've been there a long time are making to much and fire everyone to hire cheaper people (or re-hire those people at cheaper wages) like they did last year.
$8.50 isn't great, pretty standard for retail jobs starting out nowadays, especially in a high cost of living area like CA.

It depends where you live I guess.
8.50 in Louisiana is a lot more then 8.50 in California.
With that said, I wouldn't settle for less then $10 in California, same goes for where I live: Connecticut. You guys have the highest per capita income, and when it comes to dollar amounts that means 8.50 is jack.

i worked in Wolf Camera and it was 7.50. I worked in a movie theater it wa 7.75. 8.50 sounds about right (not good but accurate) from what i hear. I've beentold Brandmart pays like $10.50.

A couple years ago the TV department started at $9.25. You get a review every 6 months and are eligible for a 10-50 cent raise. Do an exceptional job and you can get unscheduled raises. Then laid off when your great work earns you pay higher for your position.
