Man 2004 is gonna ROCK! Im no fanboy, but PS2 and GC really dont stand a chance against XBOX this year. Even if there are some good games on PS2 this year theyll prob just figure out some really stupid way to mess things up. Like the all of the obnoxious loading screens in Red Faction, or just poor frame rate like Max Payne 2 or maybe just crap graphics all around. And we dont even wanna speak on GC! Mario Cart? Who the hell wants plays Mario Cart? I still love Mario cause thats what I loved first,but do they really expect adults to play crap like that. One of the only hot product for GC last year was Viewtiful Joe. I think that XBOX will set many more new standards and precedents this year. Yeah XBOX is gonna continue to set the bar. And when XBOX 2 comes out watch out PS and Tendo. The only thing thats gonna keep them afloat is PSP and GBA. I say that Bill Gates just goes handheld and monopolize the gaming industry the same way that he did with the computer industry. But then theyd all try to take him to court and stuff

No, Im not a fanboy. I just want to play good games. So I can be entertained. I wanna have fun. I wanna see the tech evolve and go to new levels. Im tired of crap games. I think XBOX is delivering the goods right now.

I might be mistaken, but I think Doom 3 PC is already pushed back to 2005, so obviously the XBox version won't be out BEFORE the PC one.

Anyway...

I'll say Ninja Gaiden. I just hope it's as good as people are saying. I'll probably buy it anyway just because the old NES games are unlockable.

A lot of people. I am not one of them, but I'd have to be an idiot to say that Mario Kart isn't popular as hell. Chicks seem to like it as well, which gives it a crossover appeal that's somewhat lacking on XBox.

And don't get your hopes up. If GTA IV shows up for PS2 this year, I doubt it'll be out for XBox at the same time. Remember, that contract does say exclusive to PS2 through 2004. They did find a way to get the double pack out, but keep in mind those games are pretty old and not really a threat to the PS2's longevity at this point since everyone has bought it for their system already. I doubt Sony would be willing to let a brand new GTA game debut on both systems at the same time, unless Rockstar has some really slick loophole in that contract.

On the other hand, I do agree that this very well could be the best year for XBox games. If TFLO takes off it could help sales in Japan (although I certainly wouldn't count on that).
