Probably one of the cheapest ways to get an official Konami dance pad.

Time to get another Konami dance pad that only lasts about six months each in my house.

You get the best of both worlds. Chillin' out, take it slow. Then you rock out the show.

As someone who has no exposure to DDR and is not/does not have a kid, it appears the reason to purchase this would be to get a deal on the official DDR dance pad (seems to go for $30 by itself), pretty much ignore the software, and try to pick up one of the other PS2 non-bundle DDRs with music that's more relevant to me for $10-20 somewhere. Does that make sense?

And forgive my ignorance, but does the dance pad work OK on carpeting?

Yes, the pad works on carpeting, and the music on this one is surprisingly good - they're not "little kid songs" like DDR Disney Mix (PS1), but on par with your typical Britney / Christina Aguilera stuff.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with an 80gb PS3?

It's not so much the game as the dance pads. You'd have to buy converters which are rare and probably pricey.

Yep. Amazon doesn't have it in stock anymore. If only I hadn't taken so long to find some filler...

That means Amazon sold out... check back later in the day to see if they have more (that often happens).

where is this deal of the day on their site? I've only ever known of the 'gold box' page really... they have a separate one for games?
