What ever happened to the Slim Silver PS2 being $99? Was that a rumor that is long gone, or did I miss something? I remember that it was going to be even lighter in weight, due to the ditched power brick.

There've been a couple of sales but nothing permanent. If Rock Band ever comes back in stock for the ps2 on toysrus.com, you can buy a PS2 and the complete Rock Band set for $150.
