I liked the demo...mainly the dinosaurs in the demo.

I'm assuming the full game has dinosaurs as well, so I may grab it.

Flipping huh? On goozex I assume? Gamestop couldn't be offering more than $15 on this would they?

Passing, but all because of timing. Twenty-four hours ago, I was ordering Dark Sector for the same price. Had Turok hit that price first, it'd be the game I'd be tracking on UPS.

Maybe next time. And I'm sure there will be at least one of those for this game.

P.S. Good to see both consoles' owners get the opportunity here.

Eh...the game sucked when I played it when it first came out. I'm passing.

I watched the gametrailers.com video review and the game looks good enough to drop a Jackson on, so I'm in. Online co-op also looks interesting. Going off knifing raptors looks like a bloody good time.

In for my $3.50 back from the order placed yesterday w/Dark Sector.

I'm not as tempted by this as I was by Dark Sector, the comments from other CAGs don't seem quite as positive.

I also order Turok along with Dark Sector yesterday. Am I able to get a price match on that?

Here's the info on it, about 1/3 of the way down:

Yeah, I don't think reviews were nearly as good. I played the demo on 360 and was very unimpressed.

I still think the original was the only one worth anything (although I never played the third one...) It had serious flaws though, but by comparison was really ambitious.

I rented this one and spent an hour or two with it before growing tired of the whole thing. It's not an embarrassment but it's the very definition of "mediocre" and it sadly isn't much fun. Not worth the $20 IMO.

I went ahead and got one. The original was cool at the time but was very difficult due to having to jump like a platform game. The demo wasn't that bad I thought it was a lot better than all of the others and killing raptors is worth $20 to me. :D

I'm not gonna pick this one up... but it's great to see they have it for both systems. Hopefully they'll start doing this more often.

I already own it, but i picked up 2 copies anyway. My friend wants one, and the other i'll probably trade for another sealed game i want.

I apologize for the noobish question, especially since I'm not a CAG neophyte, but I've never ordered from Amazon before and I always recall seeing posts where people are able to avoid paying tax and shipping at Amazon. I never bothered to look at the details behind, however, I'm wishing I had now.

Can anybody point me in the right direction of how I might avoid paying tax and shipping?

Thanks....

Shipping is generally free any time you spend over $25. As far as tax certain states where amazon operates out of will be charged tax, other states there is no tax just like other internet retailers. I believe Amazon charges Tax in only a few states like CA and NY though.

As far as Turok is concerned... I tried the demo because of positive previews but left feeling disappointed. The whole game seemed like a mess. Characters were cheesy, left wondering where to go next, stealth kills weren't nearly as cool in practice as they looked in videos. I remember the whole stealth concept of the game in the demo felt like a joke. Despite all this others seem to have really enjoyed this game and I'm stuck with a decision where I might get burnt again by a series that has left me with nothing but frustraition and disappointment since n64.

Thanks for the heads up! In for one. Although this game will probably suck, I am looking forward to hearing Donnie Wahlberg, who is a voice actor in the game.

Yup. I order things from Amazon just for avoiding sales tax, even if I have to wait a week more than just grabbing it at Walmart.

I hated the fact that I'd kill all the enemies on a certain screen and then run around for literally 5-10 minutes trying to figure out where I'm supposed to go next. This happened a few times to me as well -- just unforgivable really, and one of the main reasons I stopped playing because of irritating issues like that.
