Unless you can rearrange them, say, to be alphabetical. Haven't looked into it.

No only are the trophies not retroactive (are they for any game?), but I think you have to start a new save to get them. You can't start earning them from where you are now if you've already started. You have to start from scratch.

The "cutting teeth" one (rank up in multiplayer) is sorta retroactive. After playing one multiplayer game it unlocked, even though I didn't rank up, though I already had a rank higher than the starting one.

Go to the Save Data Utility under Games on the XMB and just copy the old save to another profile, if you have another profile on the system and if you don't want to delete the old save, then delete the one on your current profile.

Yea, the syncro thing bugs me too. What's weird is if I play a game and access the in-game XMB, I can view the trophies without waiting for the syncro part.

Just loaded up my BF:BC (which I haven't played all that much yet) and received 3 trophies retroactively. One for playing one online match, one for reaching rank 3, and one for taking 3 pictures with the image system (which I didn't even know I had done... don't even know what that means).

I'm happy to see that the online-related stuff is retroactive but I now feel a little silly for intentionally avoiding playing it too much until this patch came out.

She was also pissed that resistance 2 changed the way co-op is played. She and I both liked the way you could play though the story together, not the current 3 classes thing.

Those PJM trophies are weird. I'm really bad about upgrading stuff though, so Im stuck with only getting the first two. The majority are silver worthy, though. I do think I beat the scrooge level with like 5 towers lol. The one about not letting a tower upgrade was fun too.

Ok, quick question, do I have to make a new save on GTA:IV before having the ability to unlock trophies? Assuming it doesn't go off your current save, and goes of what you have done after the patch, I should have two trophies, the 180 with three darts one, and Warm Coffee. I did the 180 twice, the Coffee once, neither credited.


EDIT: Ah, read three pages back, you do have to start a new save for any of them to credit. Pointless. No way I'm restarting, I'll get them once I'm done.

First of all I want to say thanks to Frisky for doing such a great job keeping all this updated. I saw on X-Play last night that Fallout 3 was going to get trophies which is great news. I came here to post it, but of course Frisky had already got it up. No surprises there. Although, I did notice that you still have Fallout 3 under the category of games not supporting trophies as well.

By the way, after reading through the last couple of pages, someone said the PS3 version of Fallout 3 was the most inferior. Why is that? I haven't played it yet so I'm just curious.

Finally, PJM is awesome. Both multiplayer and single player. The trophies are a nice bonus, but I'm stuck on the stage where you can't cross the bridge as well.

Anyway, keep up the great work Frisky.

Quantum of Solace is pretty fun. The single player trophies are pretty easy. Not to mention it only takes no more than 5 hours of gameplay to beat the SP.

By the way, after reading through the last couple of pages, someone said the PS3 version of Fallout 3 was the most inferior. Why is that? I haven't played it yet so I'm just curious.

I have the PS3 version. Its been reported that textures are slightly muddied looking or something. I haven't played the 360 version, but it seems fine to me. Other than that, there's an annoying issue where anytime a system notification pops up (friend signing in, etc.) the game pauses for like 2 seconds. Also, during the beginning, you take a test to essentially determine your character class and some have issues where it more or less freezes. What happened to me was that it didn't technically freeze, but the "test" never started and I couldn't do anything at all. I had to reload my save game, then it worked fine. So, nothing show-stopping, but based just on those issues, 360 version is a little bit better.

I have put the game on hold til the trophies come out, then I'm starting over. Maybe they'll fix some of these issues with that same patch. I have plenty of other stuff to play now anyway.

I'm surprised that echochrome has its own platinum trophy, in that it requires all the others to be unlocked first, though it's just a gold trophy since they can't offer a real one.

Newer games now, all that happens is you are prompted to download a patch when you play. You download, install, and it automatically resets you back to the game.

I asked the developers of Blast Factor whether its trophy patch require I re-download it (like older PSN Games), but they said no.

Quite a few Prince of Persia Trophies (20 at least I'd say) require you beating the game. Not that hard.

For Killzone 2's beating the game without dying, assume it's like LBP where you can redo the levels over again until you do it. I do wonder what the Weekly Online Honor Ranks are. They sound difficult.

Today, I wanted to give you the first glimpse of SOCOM Awards and PSN Trophies.

This is a very big addition to the game and one we are really excited about. In-game, you can see all of the SOCOM Awards by going to Records and then Awards from the main menu. We have three different types; performance, service and weapons.

This is one of my favorite awards. As you can see, we display both the progress towards achieving each part of the award as well as what type of PSN trophy the award will unlock (Bronze, Silver or Gold) shown by an icon. Awards which have multiple criteria will show you progress for each criteria. It takes 8 full working days under controlled conditions for SCEA QA to collect all of the trophies in the game. SOCOM: Confrontation is not going to be one of those "easy trophies" games.

One more note, you can only collect trophies by playing in ranked games. We want the trophies in SOCOM: Confrontation to really mean something.

I can't figure out why Criterion isn't naming the Trophies like they do for Achievements. Well...quite a few games don't come up with names, and just do 2 descriptions. They are different from the 360's achievements though, I will give them that.

So I'm 3 Trophies away from getting a Platinum in Prince of Persia, but it requires another playthrough, all the combos, and 101 more Light Seeds. It's not hard to get them, just sort of tedious. It's not hard to get the Light Seeds, but it's hard to figure out where to go and what you have to do in order to get them.

I got all of my trophies from Mainichi a while back, which was back around November 11, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be registering them anymore. I just started counting from the point that I got to 90 and got 120 on time.

According to an update in november, the patch denies trophy access to any non-japan accounts. There's a petition up somewhere for that. The sad thing is, I've only gotten 15%, but have read around 180 total. I have to admit, pretty annoyed by that... but it's good exercise to keep up with my japansy language "skills."

I guess we can move that game to "Japan Only" until they change it back :(

That's good to know. I will have to finish a quest or two to see if mine will work or not. I'm about 20 hrs in but I have only completed a handful of quests.

not sure if it's been covered here, but what are the "rules" for game developers regarding trophies as I see varying numbers of trophies. For example on 360 each game calls for 1000 points and only 250 for DLC. What about PS3? B/c with varying amounts I find it confusing to really compare.

70 points for a retail game or the equivalent of that on PSN (Wipeout HD) with 12 points per DLC pack and 21 points for downloadable games and six points per DLC pack. These numbers are using the 1 point for a Bronze, 2 for a Silver, and 6 for a Gold trophy.

Crash Commando freaking rules. Just in case anybody didn't notice.... playing single-player games also counts toward increasing your rank. I got to rank 5 to get the trophy as I was playing through all the single-player boot camp missions for that trophy (all boot camp missions with commando medal score). I get my ass kicked pretty hard online, so it will probably take me a while to reach the higher ranks.

Add me on PSN and I'll game it up with you after Christmas. My two main Christmas items this year are a PSN card(not that I need one) and a 320 GB hard drive. So I plan to blow my wad on PSN games, tv shows, and what not after Christmas.

I think the % stuff is messed up on the trophies for Little Big Planet. I've got all but 3 or so trophies of the regular game +the new MGS pack to do and it's saying I've only got about 55%. Do they count the platinum trophy a lot more or something?
