Dude Age of Booty is one of the best PSN games of the year. I have played probably over 100 games on my ps3 account and easily over 100 on my brothers 360. The game is dope. Everyone should buy it. Easily in the top 5 of my PSN games, and I am approaching 30 here.

sweet. I was looking forward to buying this set, and it looks easy cheesy for trophies, save for "beating" Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. How in tarnation do you beat a puzzle game?

Trophies look nice, and I was gonna get the game anyway, that's a surprise.

I think the % stuff is messed up on the trophies for Little Big Planet. I've got all but 3 or so trophies of the regular game +the new MGS pack to do and it's saying I've only got about 55%. Do they count the platinum trophy a lot more or something?Yes, they're weighted. Doesn't go by overall count.

It goes by overall percentage with the point value of each trophy, so even if you have most of the bronzes a game offers and over 50% of the total trophies, it probably won't be over 50%. I know I have all but 10 or less in LBP, but have barely over 50% complete since I don't have all of the silver and gold trophies for it.

Ok, how exactly are trophies tracked?

I played SSHD on my brother's PS3 and got hooked. I got the trophies for the first 4 planets before quitting. Today, I bought the game on my PS3 and for some reason, after it synced, my trophies weren't there. Were the trophies not tracked because I didn't have the game?

I just want to make sure because I'll be starting Fallout 3 soon and I'll most likely play half of the game on my brother's PS3 and then (transfer the save to) play the rest back in school on my PS3.

Did you/he sync the trophies with the PSN server on his PS3 after playing the game? They're not auto-synced when you earn them, so you should be able to have him log in to your account on his PS3 and sync them so they should show up for you on your own machine. Just press triangle on the Trophy icon under Games and select sync with server to do that manually.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a manual option to sync trophies. I just looked at my list of trophies and it synced automatically so I didn't think there was a reason to.

Yeah I can confirm they are bootleg. I have every trophy and the platinum. The golds should be bronze and the platinum should be a gold. The game is the bomb though, dont know why more here dont have it

Apparently you have not been following my problem Mana. The trophy system IS flawed. There are 2 40+ page threads on the official PS forums explaining the problem. I cannot even play Wipeout or Burnout Paradise. Plus the majority of my PSN games have trophy problems, ala Geon.

I agree but Playfire is as good as it gets for now, which is still pretty bad when they're slow to update. I have my PC right next to me and always on so it's easy enough to update.

Im just so lazy:drool: You are right its not that hard. It was easier when I was chasing platinums b/c there was no need to actually read the trophy since you got them all.

Hopefully Sony integrates a trophy card into the PSU or whatever sometime in the new year.

I haven't tried it (I got through the first set of challenges (One Easy, One Medium, One Hard) and an extra easy one), but you basically have to wait a couple of minutes when you initially boot up the game for the online stuff to actually start working.

I have played it around 100 times online and only within the last couple days did this problem happen. All is well now though.

For Uncharted, if I beat the game on the hardest difficulty, will it unlock the lower difficulty level trophies too, or do I actually have to play through on each difficulty level?

Same thing for R2, except I doubt "Superhuman" is selectable the first play through.

This would be useful info to have for games that do the "Beat it on Easy/Med/Hard/OMGWTFTIFU" trophies.

Yes, they'll unlock.
However, the hardest setting "Crushing" isn't available until you beat it once.

You can download a save for the game though and play Crushing your first time through.

In Uncharted you can get the lower difficulty trophy for beating it a harder difficulty I know that. Not sure on Resistance though, and I know for sure on Battlefield Bad Company you have to beat the level on the specific difficulty to get the trophy :(

I don't think R2 has anything but just a beat the game trophy and then a beat the game on Superhuman trophy. The latter's difficulty unlock when you beat the game, I believe.

The SOCOM Trophies really confuse me with all their non-punctuation and CAPITAL LETTERS EXTREMEZ!!!

With Uncharted, I beat it on Easy, then on Hard (with Cheats) and finally Crushing (Without Cheats). You could eliminate doing it on Easy, but you'd have to do without the Cheats on Hard which makes it easier. I think I might just sit down, play through Uncharted on Crushing once more with Cheats on (Infinite Ammo, Infinite Health, etc.). Should take no more than 3 hours.

I figured the hardest difficulty level wasn't available from the start with R2 (since it wasn't with R1) and I just didn't want to (unless I had to) do Uncharted on Easy, then Medium, then Hard, then SUPEROMGWTF hard... Like I did with the GRAW games on the 360. Two runs through won't be that bad...

Wait... Is Crushing unlocked after any difficulty level? or only hard? (KingBroly confused me. :D) Google says it's unlocked after beating hard...

I was pleasantly surprised that 2 of the 3 DL games I bought on sale (before I even had my PS3) have trophy support (Eden and Echochrome but not Last Guy). It looks like I might possibly be able to get them all in Eden too, unlike LBP :cry:.

I'm pretty disappointed with the overall list, though. All the games I picked up on the cheap from the Blockbuster sale don't support them. I realize these are mostly older games and the trophy stuff is pretty new, but still... I don't have much that does support them now even though I have over 15 or so PS3 games :lol:.

Uh oh - well, I only played through the first garden for all the spectra (and just missed one seed the last time). It didn't seem like they'd be too hard, but then again, the other gardens could be completely different I guess. We'll see. Is it harder than not dying on LBP? If so, then I'm screwed ;).

You mean for LBP? There's just so many weird ways to die on some of those levels - usually through no fault of my own (cart tips on rail segments, jump button doesn't result in a jump when on a spinning wheel, etc)... It has been pretty frustrating, and I'm usually pretty good at platformers, so I don't know what the "people like you" comment refers to ;).

Though I'm not sure how it could be made "easier". I mean the game is pretty easy, it just has some very tough spots! I have gotten through all but about 5 levels as of now and I see a path towards doing at least 3 more (just need to keep trying). I just have a feeling it will be that one with the big rotating chamber in the last section that I'll never make it through.

PJE does get pretty frustrating if you want all the trophies and the same goes for PJM (the trophy levels didn't have a difficulty setting). I enjoyed PJE in the beginning because it was a fun experience but the more I failed at getting the trophies, the more frustrated I became. I'm really looking forward to the patch.

I'm only 305 points away from lv.8 on my PSN card so the PJE patch and the Penny Arcade Adventures Episode 2 patch should put me over the top.

It may very well have been dumb luck, but this is the one and only trophy I've gotten so far and I got it on the first evening I was playing. I played a bit more earlier and got to the fourth garden - nothing too different yet... I've been trying to get the ones for getting all the seeds on a garden and three times in a row I got all but one :bomb:.

I can see that the no pollen loss one will take some very careful and different type of play. Is this easiest on the first garden? Same with the 10 minute one? (Though it seems Garden 5 might be good for that with all the "rocket flowers" it has to zip you around quickly).

Yeah, just learn the placement of seeds in garden 1 and only kill pollen creatures that you can easily grab all of the pollen that spews from it.

In Garden 5, you have better chance (Flat Frog). There are flower cannons that shot you up and down, you can get 15 crystals no problem...

I can't get the 10 or 15 pollen combo, damn hard for a bronze and silver respectively.

I got all the trophies in PJ Monster, the only gold trophy is Rainbow Team, which is difficult... There are more, but all labeled ???, maybe for later or something? Anybody know what they mean?

The 10 minutes Grimp (spell?) can be easily obtained by completing Garden 1.

The 10 or 15 combo is just getting 10 or 15 crystals within a jump/swing before you touch the ground or a plant. It'll count along with how many you're getting so you know you're doing it right.

100k trophy is for getting 100k individual pollen, not 100,000 points, as there's a difference.

The hidden PJM trophies shouldn't require completing a stage unless it says so, meaning as long as you don't quit, you should get them. I don't think they'll show up until you either pass or fail the stage anyway. Yeah, within trophy stages only.

Oh yeah, I was thinking the 15 crystals in a big jump. Just find bunches of pollen prowlers and you'll probably need to jump after taking them out since I doubt that you'll get that many in a bunch. There's no sure way to do it since they'll be random, but do stay in the first couple of gardens before pollen prowlers can cut your silk rope.

If you're in co-op, you can grab onto the other grimps as a saving maneuver, so that trophy wants you to hang on as the other grimps swing you toward the other one.

Is that even possible? You're start with max of 500 in gold coins, that get you five archer towers. Even if you find other gold pieces, no way in hell you gonna find another 500 in gold colns. Waiting for the enemy to drop gold? Simply can't be done in 30 seconds! Or is there a typo in the requirement? Entering a WAVE instead of a STAGE?

Yo guys/gals, this is bullshit! i just realized that the hidden trophies in PJM can be obtained playing any stage, not necessarily in the Trophy Mode. That's a lot easier than i thought! yeah baby... 100% tonight!

I haven't tried that first one you mentioned but I'd imagine you. build the five archer towers near the front, and turn some the back ones into coins as the others kill enemies, collect coins, build more towers, sell again, build what you can...........erm, something like that :)

Man.... I really need to get a life..... I have Quantum of Solace rented through Gamefly right now. I played through the single player and finished (decent, but not great) and have absolutely no intention of playing multiplayer really. Knowing this, I fired up a private online game with unlimited 5-minute rounds and left my PS3 on over night just so I could earn the stupid bronze trophy for playing 100 matches.

Actually, it's a lot simpler than that... In the regular game, there's stage where monsters don't drop coins (Prudent). You're given 1000 gold coins to start, so bam, problem solved. Stupid right?

I got 100% in PJM last night, yeah baby!

You don't need the easy patch for the trophies, because in the Trophy Challenge mode, some stages are pretty damn demanding... If you're adjusted to EASY option, well, you will crap in your pants when you try to get those trophies (not the hidden ones).

I know i know, they should reward you differently for playing in harder modes, but that's the way it is for trophies or achievements. Of course, they could make trophies just for completing the tasks in harder modes.

Well, I am looking forward to the patch, but keep this quote in mind: "To preserve the pride of those who gained trophies without continues though, the ‘garden complete’ trophy is only available if you don’t use the continue system."

Since there isn't a trophy literally named 'garden complete', I'm not exactly sure what he's talking about. It's probably either the ones for getting all spectra in a garden or the one for getting at least one spectra in every garden. Not sure.

Yeah, that's most likely correct. I think that essentially, if you continue at all, then you can earn any trophies for that round.

No, it has to be the ALL SPECTRA found trophy he's talking about... All Seeds trophies are made easier (a lot easier) with this patch. If no continues allowed for the All Seeds trophies, then that's a lot of wording to change (All Seeds 1-10, needs to add the caption "No Continue").

The 500 pollen prowler killed trophy actually stated no Continue is used. I was questioning about "continue" back then, because there's no continue option until now (actually, tomorrow).

Also, it's singular, not plural... If no continues apply to the All Seeds, there are 10 in total. Unfortunately, there are no trophies for finding all five Spectras in a garden.

Okay, i was wrong about the PJE trohpies... The easy patch doesn't alter the requirement for All Seeds trophies. In order to get those, you cannot use CONTINUE! The wording of those trophies changed as well, i.e. it says no CONTINUE.

So, the Continue option is handy only you're not familiar with the garden's map. Otherwise, it's pretty much useless for trophies, except for one (ALL SPECTRAS found). Actually, as you play PJE more and more, you'll realize that finding the Spectras is easier than pollenating all the seeds. This could explain why there are no trophies for find all five Spectras in a garden. However, i still can't believe the easy gardens are rewarded the same way as the hard gardens. To me, anything higher than garden 7 should be silver.

Anyone here got 100% for PJE?!

^^^ Maklershed - Uh, the blue one is the platinum. And if it is like all the others I've seen, you simply get that for getting all the other trophies. FWIW, Lord of the Rings Conquest has trophies too - now if only the Blockbusters near me would get it in (not there as of Friday afternoon) I'd give it a rent and a trophy run...

Okay, i was wrong about the PJE trohpies... The easy patch doesn't alter the requirement for All Seeds trophies. In order to get those, you cannot use CONTINUE! The wording of those trophies changed as well, i.e. it says no CONTINUE.

So, the Continue option is handy only you're not familiar with the garden's map. Otherwise, it's pretty much useless for trophies, except for one (ALL SPECTRAS found). Actually, as you play PJE more and more, you'll realize that finding the Spectras is easier than pollenating all the seeds. This could explain why there are no trophies for find all five Spectras in a garden. However, i still can't believe the easy gardens are rewarded the same way as the hard gardens. To me, anything higher than garden 7 should be silver.

Anyone here got 100% for PJE?!

It has actually said "no continues" for a while now (not just with the update). It said that when I started playing a couple weeks ago and I had no idea what it meant. At first every time I fell to the bottom and had my little guy reset at the base of the nearest plant I figured that was a "death" and I was thus using a continue and would restart the garden thinking I blew the trophy there :bomb:. Kind of dumb to put in that blurb before there even was such a thing as a "continue". Actually, I updated and I still don't see continues anywhere :lol:.

Anyway, definitely agree about the difficulty of 7 and up - in fact, that's where I am right now. And garden 7 or 8 (I forget which) has SEVENTY-NINE plant seeds! Yeah, way easier to get all the spectra than to do that!

Anyway, I'm working on 100% but there are a few that will be tough - still got to get all those seeds in 7-10, and then the trapeze one, and the 100,000 pollen one. Oh, and the 15 combo. If I can get my boys to help than one might not be too hard though (along with the 3p one though I'm not sure how coordinated they'll be for that). Oh yeah - gotta do the non-wasting pollen one too. That seems like a pain, but at least you can do that on Garden 1.

There's a good article in Game Informer called Achievement Dos and Dont's. Its a great guide and applies equally to trophies. My main complaint ... basing achievements (trophies) in multiplayer for games in which it was tacked on. A good example of this can be seen in The Darkness and Dark Sector.

It really is up to the game itself as to what's easy or not. It's not really a blanket difficulty thing to me.

Easy ones I've played:

Burnout Paradise (easier than the in-game awards)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (same as the in-game trophies, which a lot are "Get X kills with Y weapon)
Super Stardust HD (most of the arcade are easy while the ones for other modes are a little more challenging)
Prince of Persia (Got 2/3rds of them without much extraneous effort)
LittleBigPlanet (Have all but nine and most aren't that hard. The hardest are just 100%/Ace ones and ones based on level creation.)
Mainichi Isshyo (was patched so foreigners couldn't get them a while back, but I've still got my 100% :p)
Buzz Quiz TV (most of these are Bronze, Silver, Gold trophies requiring you to win or play X, Y, and Z amounts of each mode)
PixelJunk Eden (most of these are not that hard, but a few will definitely challenge you.)

If you're solely interested in trophy games just for trophies, do not buy:

Pain (a lot of them require DLC purchases and the others are mostly a pain in the ass)
Soldner-X (Hard shmup doesn't make for easy trophies)
Novastrike (like Soldner-X only not that hard)
Warhawk (requires a lot of time and effort to get most of them, though I guess boosting will help a bit)
Resistance 2 (vast majority are single-player-based, which isn't fun enough to play the two or three times to get them all)
Midnight Club LA (A huge timesink for a bunch of these trophies)
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Most of these are Kombo Challenges, which are a pain in the ass to complete)

I beg to differ - I'm finding the ace one to be controller throwing. I've pretty much given up on it as it is starting to make me hate the game (way too many cheap deaths) which I otherwise love and I don't want to go to that extreme just for trophies. The rest all seem pretty easy though - so I'll end up with everything but the 2 I guess (gold for acing, and then the platinum for getting all - pretty annoying to get that close but oh well). Yeah, I'll have to make a cool level that people like but that seems way easier and less time consuming than beating every level without dying.

I already have Uncharted since I got the Uncharted bundle. Problem is I sent it to my Dad so he could play it first as he thought he might like it. I see that he hasn't even turned his PS3 on in 2 weeks though - so I guess imma gonna have to ask for that back. I was kind of looking for another game to play anyway and it sounds like a good one all around (I don't want to play just for trophies but if it is good game + trophies I can't pass that up ;)).

Yeah, Uncharted is pretty much Cheesephys... umm, they're pretty easy to get. And it's a great game too.
Burnouts are easy, as long as you're into racing games and have someone to help with the online ones.
Resistance 2's (at least the single player ones) are easy enough too.

And I agree about LBP... I got pretty annoyed trying to ace all the levels...

Yeah, I would recommend Burnout Paradise, its got a fairly quick platinum, and its actually a lot of fun to play without the need to collect trophies. (and it is cheap enough now at $20)

Easy Patch? For Wipeout? You still have to beat Zico, still have to do all those races on Elite Difficulty, and to top it all off, getting every skin in the game, as well as 100,000 Loyalty Points with one team.

I may consider playing Burnout again. I played it a lot on the 360 when it first came out (and I rented it). Then I picked it up again for the 360 a few months back but haven't played it again. I pretty much had all the achievements except for getting all the collectables (which is just a matter of sitting down and doing it) and the online 4x/8x stuff - that seemed to be somewhat of a hassle. But I did like the game and I could see restarting it on the PS3 though I have so many other games to play I'm not sure I want to do that. I might just finish it up on the 360 instead.

Oh, another game that would be an insta-buy for me if it supported trophies is Valkyria Chronicles. I mean, I'll get it anyway at some point, but I'd even consider shelling out $60 for it (in GS credit of course) if it was trophy-enabled. THAT is the kind of game I can sink serious time into (and the trophies would just be that little extra incentive to do so). Why they didn't include them in something like this that is struggling otherwise for sales I'll never understand.

Bastards... And it isn't the bunker level that I think is the hardest (though I haven't aced it yet I've come close). It is the one with the big rotating wheely thing. And then some of the challenge levels are bitch too. And those clowns rate the "Socialite" trophy to be as difficult as acing every level. The socialite one is playing a 4-player online game (with strangers). Yeah, that's a toughy - think I got that the first time I played online :roll:.

1. PJ Eden, the 100,000 pollen trophy, how do you know you're getting close?! I killed 500 pollen prowlers (got that trophy) and i kept swinging and swinging to get those pollens, but still... The score at the lower right hand is around 250,000. Any indication of the score's relation to the number of pollens?

2. This is embarrassing, but i have to ask... Uncharted, the Surviving 50 w/o dying trophy. If not playing the Unwelcoming Guest chapter (a bit annoying when get scratched in the back and died in one hit) can you get this trophy if you use the save/load trick? You know, save the progress and hit load if you died. I'm curious if the counter gets reset if you load the game.

100 000 refers to how much pollen you need to collect, not how many points you obtain..... You usually need between 2-300 000 points for 100 000 pollen. You do not know how much pllen you have collected until the end of the stage, so keep going until you get the trophy.

You can definitely do this by killing the 6 guys in the opening scene of the game and then restarting it. The kills carry over as long as you don't die.

I'm embarrassed, really... Well, to each of his/her own i guess. I just don't have the same kind of patience for action games i guess. For shooters, i'll do the Rambo move (almost never take cover). Hence i always play EASY (laugh it up, hahaha). I only take cover when my life is low (to recover).

So, to stack up 50 kills w/o dying, as you can see, very frustrating (die on one hit or miss a grip).

Oh, don't get me wrong, i like the game very much and i do feel the intensity of taking cover and sneaking up the bad guys etc... Well, the experience just don't sit well with getting trophies (that's so true with some of the sadistic trophies out there). I'm just glad that there are "easier" ways to obtain them w/o being an "expert." I'm trying to beat the game in HARD (i don't know i can do CRUSHING). Oh, that brings up another question, how do you unlock weapons and unlimited ammunition? Maybe i should do some gamefaqs...


On the other hand... PJM, boy... you need a lot of plannings, some timing and a little bit of luck (maybe except for the Lucky Find trophy, lol).

Not sure if this has been discussed but I ran into a trophy issue tonite and wanted to know if this would
happen with every game or just Magic Ball.

The trouble was with the gold trophy you earn by acquiring all the others 1st (basically its platinum).
We have 2 PS3s in the house and I earned some of the game's trophies on both, then upon getting
the last of the regulars the gold did not unlock. Upon looking on various boards I learned that all the
trophies need to be on the same game save, so I replayed the requirements on the main PS3 and
the gold eventually unlocked.

Is this going to be the case with all games? Are we locked to 1 PS3 per game if we don't carry our
saves back and forth? I assumed the platinums basically checked your trophy list tied to your
profile and not the specific game save, is this not the case? I'm hoping Magic Ball was a fluke.

Congrats. I have all the trophies minus the hard/survivor ones and the DLC.
I saw the DLC adds a new game plus. Does anyone know if I get that and new game plus my old game and beat survivor with all my old plasmids and stuff to get the trophy?

new game+ means no trophies.

Survivor is tough in the beginning without any plasmids. But as it goes on it becomes easier. Those first few Big Daddies are exceptionally fun, but *really* frustrating.

Save a lot. A lot a lot a lot. If you plan on going for it, that is.

Hmph, I made it to level five a couple days ago, but I don't really have that many games with trophies, though I got 2 plats, one in R2 and one in Fallout 3, both fairly easy yet take awhile.

I wanna pick up Uncharted again as well as Burnout, I wanna 100% both before KZ 2, FEAR 2, SFIV, and RE5 all come out, but then I got PJM, PJE, and Stardust still left to complete, buuuuuutt I don't have any gamer friends for the offline multiplayer trophies :/

Yea I'll try that, but I'm in the same boat with the 15 tokens, it's just annoying, I have boosted through a ton of tokens a ton of times and have never gotten it O_O

That one took a while, but the easy way is to boost into a giant green prize rock, if you can hit it in the center, you should get 15 and an extra life.

There's list. Seriously, this is an EASY, EASY, EASY Platinum. The 3 Jumps are very early on in the game while the 3 Motorcycle ones are later on in the game, starting with Southern Mexico. I'm not renting this one. I already got the 360 version.

Ugh, if FAllout 3 didnt glitch on me twice... I'd have a platinum on that game. It's a super simple platinum to get, just play through at good, saving at levels 7 and 13 and just open bad-karma computer screens for "hacking" without actually hacking to reach levels 8 and 14 with those levels of karma.... just hope you don't get screwed like me where random quest targets die or disappear for no reason... making it impossible to finish certain quests.

The Tomb Raider set of trophies looks fairly simple, will that be retroactive? Or only on new playthroughs?

I'm surprised to see that Tomb Raider will end up getting trophies. I always try to go PS3 with multi-plat. releases so that I can lend them to my buddy when I'm done. With Tomb Raider though, I decided to just rent the 360 version. Half of the reason was no trophies and the other half was the 360-exclusive DLC (bastards).

Interesting. Is there a price for this yet, or is it free? I'll probably trade the game in by then but I may rent it if the DLC is free/cheap. I have 997 of the 1000 light seeds needed before going to the end battle. During the end battle I'm going to try to get the combo master trophy and maybe the 14-combo one (if it is possible there). Then I may try to do a quick replay to get the <12 hour and <100 deaths one which I ought to be able to do after playing through each area thoroughly looking for light seeds. Maybe I'll actually get a platinum out of this sucker. It is actually those two combo ones (one of which is just a stupid bronze) that might keep me from doing it though.

There's list. Seriously, this is an EASY, EASY, EASY Platinum. The 3 Jumps are very early on in the game while the 3 Motorcycle ones are later on in the game, starting with Southern Mexico. I'm not renting this one. I already got the 360 version.

The site is unreadable for me (all the trophy names are just squares like it is in Japanese or something and not displaying correctly) - are the trophies the same as the achievements in the 360 version? I rented that and completed it but didn't get 1000 points. I did the jumps and the motorcycle races but there was other stuff I couldn't get done in the rental period (I think one was finding all the treasures - though that is certainly doable). I'm not sure what else I missed.

Yes, there is a patch that should have prompted you when starting the game while online.

Did you start a game that you already had?
In order for the trophies, you have to start a brand new game.
Try that, and get the first treasure. (i think there's a trophy for that, and see it if it works)
