Also, there was a glitch in Battlefield: Bad Company that made it not possible to be Platinum'd due to the Top Squad Wildcard glitch. Luckily, the glitch has been fixed and the game can be Platinum'd! Took awhile, but we are glad EA & DICE decided to fix it!

Well, it's disappointing that you can't earn Trophies online. It'd be nice to have the basic multiplayer modes (Horse, Bowling) online and the ability to earn those Trophies online.

Pretty cool, though there's quite a bit of wasted space in the middle and I'd prefer the recent games be in the top or bottom left side of the card. Seems to be as slow to update as the UK card though.

They're the same. It requires you to update your UK card for it to update and it's still slow at catching up.

Important: We can only create an automatic card if you have have signed up to eu.playstation.com (http://eu.playstation.com/) and have previously generated one of Sony's trophycards. If you haven't done this yet we can't get your stats in order to make the card. North American guys, this works for you too! :)Even though there's no trophy card attached to it, the official US trophy page updates very quickly so I look forward to SCEA catching up with cards of their own.

I wish the pictures for the games were bigger, way too small.

I'm updating the lists so that they don't take up as much room with the character limit that's in place now. Ferrari Challenge is in the batch I'm working on right now, so it should be up there by tonight.

Seems good to go with the Europe Trophy patch , but there's no Dual Shock rumble support .:cry:

when were they blocked? I got all trophies day 1 of when they were enabled.

They were blocked with a patch in August or somewhere around there. I was only able to get half of the trophies before they did it.

Just so you all know, Playfire is retrieving their data for PSN cards in an unofficial manner and Sony is looking to shut that part down of theirs. So I bet in a few days it will not auto-update and will be a waste of trying.

They are not working with Sony.

They got that news from Sony because they took down their first system of updating cards by having users log into their PSN account via PlayFire, Sony didnt like that idea because of hackers and valueable information being gained. What Playfire was doing was transfering user passwords between servers. NOT SAFE.

So in exchange they gave them some exclusive news to take that system down. Now PlayFire created a new exploit to update cards and Sony isn't happy once more.

Well I was smart enough not to give Playfire my PSN password but I have no problems with Playfire exploiting anything to get us updated cards because Sony is so horrible at giving them to us.

Has anyone tried any JPN/Asia games and do they appear on your official trophy card? Also wondering about how EU games work and if you can have both the EU and NA version appear on your trophy list.

Neither Playfire nor Sony have revealed auto-updating cards anyway.

Since it doesn't matter what region your account is for the profile, I can't imagine that the region of the game matters either. I know I have Mainichi Isshyo trophies and the card would just display what you've played recently.

The downside, if the game is anything like its 8-bit counterpart, it'll be a difficult journey (well, it'll be exactly like the 8-bit counterpart -- sorry to burst your bubble).

Mostly because ReRo predicted it would happen.I don't think VC will. The game didn't sell what Sega was hoping for it too, and with the way Sega is cutting back right now, I doubt they'll bother (probably have the team making handheld games).

I dont see MGS4 getting trophies eitherI don't. I keep telling people over and over again I really don't see it getting trophies. Adding trophies is no easy task either. It's like they have to find out where to place trophies, then edit the main code putting them in, then re-testing the entire game making sure no new bugs come up. At the end, they have to re-submit it for approval. Most games which are constantly getting updates, adding trophies isn't a problem, but MGS4 itself hasn't received updates. I really think Kojima rather spend time working on his next project also. I DO see trophies coming to MGS4 is there's a new edition of the game, but if there isn't, they won't come. Disgaea 3 was still getting updated since it got a big expansion pack in Japan.

I even think MGO has a better chance of getting trophies since the game still gets updated.

Man, I can't get the SCEE trophy card to update at all, even with Frisky's link. I'm over 220 trophies now but the card only says 203.

Frisky's link doesn't work. You need to go to your portable ID section and hit the update button again.

Anyone notice that trophies load faster now since Firmware 2.70. Makes looking at friends onlines a breeze now. Could be still improved but I guess it also depends on your internet connection as well since thats where Sony pulls the information for images.

PS3Trophies.com (http://www.ps3trophies.com) is updated regularly with the latest trophy lists and has more support for all its members including trophy cards and guides. .org doesn't have that much and is ugly.

Actually I recall mis-typing ps3trophies.org and using the .com and got a "this domain for sale" page on the .com. So ya, the .org is the original and the .com is the obvious rip-off.

And the .org is not updated regularly? Looking at the last two games added on the .org - the .org beat you by a day for Singstar and you still have not posted the trophy list for winning post world that the .org posted on the 30th.

And as posted the .org is linked to the 360 site that has been around for ages.

And the .org has over 19 thousand members on their forums while you (the .com) have only just under 3500 members.

And the .org has very detailed trophy guides for many games that I have used many times.

Trophy cards? Do you have to put them in yorself? I have not used your site, but if it is not semi-automatic like the playfire ones are then its worthless.

That's an odd list since DLC for PSN games is only allowed to offer six more points (1 for bronze, 2 for silver, and 6 for gold), so I'm not sure why it would have 12 points.

Okay I finally got the SCEE Trophy Card to update. The Update profile button does absolutely nothing. However, if you change your mood on the card itself and hit the Update button on the same page and then hit the Update profile button under the My Profile tab, it'll fully update.

Quick question, I unlocked a trophy and I know it notifies you by showing you in the corner of the screen, but I was playing with the sound up for once and I heard a chime also. I thought I don't recall them doing that before. Is that new with FW 2.70?

No this has been around sinces trophies released. But some people dont hear it all the time since music may be a little loud or something like that

Not sure when it'll hit USA, but I expect it to.

So the Hannah Montana: The Movie Game has a platinum trophy that's apparently really easy to get, according to Playstation.Joystiq.com (http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/03/23/trophies-hannah-montana-the-movie/).

I'd be tempted to get it, in my never-ending quest for more platinums, but not sure how that would affect my street creds. Or perhaps, I'd be even MORE hard core since I put up with the game. Decisions, decisions...

I did restart up Gamefly and she asked if we could rent it. I figure WTH, put it on my game Q in slot 12. Well ya, you know how Gamefly is - turns out it shipped out first. Well I got Hannah Montana in the mail on Thursday and I got the plat on the very same day.

It took me 5 hours and 26 minutes - there is a handy "play time" timer when you go to load up your saved game. I could have had it in under 5 hours if I was smarter about buying 100 items of clothing. I lost track of what stores I hit up and had to hunt down items I did not already have. And for a kids game there is a lot of memory stuff involved for the dancing stuff.

My 2 biggest tips -

- when you ride the horse in the first part of the game, ride him 20 - 30 times. Build up LOTS of coins. You can hold up to 99 coins. You will get 4 or 5 coins per ride. You will also get a few coins in random parts of the game as well as for playing games at the fair and after you do your shows. But still, have a good amount built up. Each item costs 1 coin, so build it up. This will save you time going back to the farm and riding a few more times. If I had it to do over I would not stop till I had at least 75 coins. But I would prob be brain dead by that time lol.

- Save the fairground games till you hit them in the story. I played them as soon as I saw them. I found out later you had to play them as part of the story. This would be a good time to do them for the trophies. The ball toss one is a BITCH, the rest are easy. But this would just save you time in the end.

The game was bad, very bad. I laughed because with all this talking the people never move thier mouth. And there is a bunch of waling (very slow walking). And she looked nothing like the real Hannah (not like I would know or anything like that!!) But 5 and a half hours dealing with it - never to tuch it again.. I can deal with that.

Do I feel dirty now? Eh... whatever.

Well I got Hannah Montana in the mail on Thursday and I got the plat on the very same day.

It took me 5 hours and 26 minutes - there is a handy "play time" timer when you go to load up your saved game. I could have had it in under 5 hours if I was smarter about buying 100 items of clothing. I lost track of what stores I hit up and had to hunt down items I did not already have. And for a kids game there is a lot of memory stuff involved for the dancing stuff.

My 2 biggest tips -

- when you ride the horse in the first part of the game, ride him 20 - 30 times. Build up LOTS of coins. You can hold up to 99 coins. You will get 4 or 5 coins per ride. You will also get a few coins in random parts of the game as well as for playing games at the fair and after you do your shows. But still, have a good amount built up. Each item costs 1 coin, so build it up. This will save you time going back to the farm and riding a few more times. If I had it to do over I would not stop till I had at least 75 coins. But I would prob be brain dead by that time lol.

- Save the fairground games till you hit them in the story. I played them as soon as I saw them. I found out later you had to play them as part of the story. This would be a good time to do them for the trophies. The ball toss one is a BITCH, the rest are easy. But this would just save you time in the end.

The game was bad, very bad. I laughed because with all this talking the people never move thier mouth. And there is a bunch of waling (very slow walking). And she looked nothing like the real Hannah (not like I would know or anything like that!!) But 5 and a half hours dealing with it - never to tuch it again.. I can deal with that.

Do I feel dirty now? Eh... whatever.

A post on the official Red Faction: Guerrilla website has confirmed that the trophy list will be identical to the XBOX 360's achievements list except for an added trophy, the elusive Platinum trophy."For those not yet aware, our official Achievement/Trophy list was leaked out onto the internet last night. It will be approximately the same for both systems, so if you would like to read about them now, click here for more details. There are a few small differences between each console though.

On the 360, there will be 50 Achievements for a total of 1000 GamerPoints. On the PS3, there will be 51 trophies - 50 which are equivalent to the 360 Achievements and the often sought after “Platinum Trophy” for collecting all other trophies."(Read the full post here (http://community.redfaction.com/blogs/?p=340))

Unfortunately, as it has been an achievements list, I don't know what will be bronze silver or gold, so I'm going to hold of posting the list directly here until I get some solid info about that. Nope.
The game has been selling better lately, and the demo+anime in Japan is helping.
There's new interest in the game which is nice to see.

I expect a sequel now, but probably not a trophy patch.

PJE Encore comments...

Okay guys/gals, i got me PJE Encore last night and played garden 11. First off, the new three seed move is really cool. Secondly, i'm glad garden 11 is back to normal in term of difficulty. Thirdly, man, the pollens are everywhere, awesome!

So, my first thought was to get the 100,000 pollen trophy (it's not hard to do, but not easy work in PJE single player, at least an hour of play). Guess what? PJE Encore gardens are "shielded" from the PJE gardens. Totally not related?!?! I got more than 100,000 pollens from Garden 11, but no, no 100,000 trophy :shock:

that means Encore won't help you if you need the trophies from garden 1-10 in PJE (besides the ALL SEEDs).

Sadly I think I probably would. I was a bit brokenhearted when I picked up SC4 for $10 at BB and it didn't have trophies.

Tough call. Would I? Probably. Would I prefer companies do it out of their commitment to gamers for free? You bet.

It's not like companies aren't hosing us for additional content this gen as is.

And since a trophy always equals the same amount, (not like gamerscore which can be any number from 0-1000), that might be hard to manage.

Whats with games coming out having only one gold trophy? RE5 did it and now it looks like Infamous is doing it as well. I understand the one platinum, but only having one gold in a game is kinda lame. I do not mind two, but only one kinda defeats the purpose of having a platinum if all you are doing is giving one gold. Games should at least have two gold trophies.

Having only one gold trophy means that there's more possible trophies to get in that game. Instead of getting one gold trophy you're getting 6 bronze trophies or 3 silver trophies, same shit.

Matters the game. Disgaea already has a JPN version of the trophy patch though. You guys just have to wait for a US patch.

I hate that game with a passion. My thumbs were almost nubs because of those stupid Kombo Challenges which I have yet to even finish one completely!

Wasn't there a point system based around the trophies? Like how a game could only have a set amount of points and that as the trophies became higher leveled (Bronze->Silver->Gold), the trophies took up more points. Same went for DLC and PSN titles.

Yeah, it's in the OP. One point for a bronze, two points for a silver, and six points for a gold and about 70 points that a retail game can use.

No, all I am saying that majority of games have more than one gold trophy. It looks like one does not achieve shit when in my instance I have 450 Bronze trophies, 50 silvers, and only 23 gold. It looks like I just went for the easy stuff since I have so many Bronze trophies. Make the Gold trophies a challenge to get and have a couple in there. I did everything on RE5 and I just got a bunch of bronze, some silver, one gold, and one platinum. If you go for platinum, you should get at least two gold trophies on your venture. In real life, would you really want a trophy case full of Bronze Trophies or Gold Trophies for your accomplishments?

At least two seems to be the standard if you look at the games that have trophies, all I am saying is that RE5 and Infamous seem like they are not doing it. The only thing I can say is that maybe Infamous will have another Gold as a hidden trophy and the guy who posted it was wrong about one gold and the four hidden being silver. Its just stupid to put one gold in a game, its like getting 1 point in Bulletwitch on 360 for beating the game on Devil mode, everyone thinks its stupid.

If you get a plantium, you're getting the same amount of points from all of the trophies anyway, so it doesn't really matter how many of each kid there are. With more golds for the more difficult achievements, you'd be less likely to get those than the bronze or silver trophies it offers, which is why everybody have a lot more bronzes than anything else.

There's no way that they would offer two or more platinum trophies for a game, because they wouldn't dare require you to purchase DLC to get another one over the platinum that is already offered for the main game.

Gamerscore and trophies shouldn't be serious business.

Not all devs like being forced to put in these arbitrary challenges into their games.
Some have fun with it, some don't give a shit (terminator, again).

As for RE5, they would have had to remove a lot of the other trophies to add in a gold.

Starting from the Burnout Paradise trophy patch last September-ish, EA has their shit together in terms of trophy support. Which is a pleasant surprise since one would've thought these titles would never get a trophy patch if it was another developer.

So I'm finally getting around to playing R&C ToD and I'm amazed Sony hasn't insisted on a trophy patch for that bastard. I mean, it has these "Skill Points" which are just SCREAMING to be converted into trophies. I understand some devs not wanting to go back and add arbitrary goals to satisfy trophies, but c'mon, this one has them built in already. And as a high-profile Sony published game (it is, right?) you'd think they'd insist upon it, actually.

Of course if they add them now after I finish it I'll be pissed ;). But really, it would be nice to have some more incentive to go after those skill points and gold bolts and all that. It's fun enough that I'm doing a little of that, but there's no incentive to go for all of them without the trophies.

Yeah, I didn't really try to get all the Skill points in Ratchet. I saw what they were, and my reaction was 'what? Probably not worth my time' Also, Insomniac said they weren't going to do it. I'm more surprised Quest for Booty didn't have trophies.

And yes, Worms does have Trophies.

True enough, but if they were trophies as well there'd be plenty of guides and FAQs on how to get them done (and what they are for that matter). I've gotten a few totally by accident of course as I didn't even know they were there until they started popping up (much like achievements/trophies).

Oh well, on the one hand it is disappointing, but on the other hand, it is sort of a relief as I can just concentrate on finishing the game and not obsessing over getting them all so I can get a platinum - that will mean I can move on to some other game quicker ;). Hmmm... Maybe I ought to give Uncharted a spin next...

I'm fairly sure that there are plenty of skill point guides out there, so you're just not looking hard enough. The game would get the same type of FAQs for trophies if they had the time to add them in during Resistance 2's development, though you would have seen that they didn't really have the time to waste on trophy patches when finishing that up. I wouldn't be surprised to see them put out a patch sometime this year with the time between R2's release and their first public push for A Crack in Time, which would be a good way to remind people to play Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty before A Crack in Time comes out.
