Movies..how many times have you seen something good, and at one point in the movie, it just fucks the whole movie all up? Example, Matrix Revolutions. How the fuck do you end a movie with a fucking rainbow?

I cant think of how i wouldve ended it but not like that. Im sure ill think of more as they come to me..just wanted to get the ball rolling.

Who knows how they should have ended it (Revolutions), but they should have, at the very least, had a Rage song playing during the beginning of the credits.

They are so many movies that I will not watch again because of the fucking ending. as for the matrix they should have stop after the fist movie in my opinion.

The last two Matrix movies were disaster areas IMO anyway, so I would have just ended it to get it over with without regard for quality (since the rest of the movie had none).

I dont know, the ending only bothers me if the movie is fully ended and there are no sequels to it.

well.. one movie that wasnt GREAT but was atleast somewhat enjoyable until the ending.. RAT RACE.. that was THE worse ending to a movie ever...

the way they really should have ended matrix: by not releasing reloaded and revolutions. >=J tomclouds right.

i have movies that i still like but i would have preferred the endings a little different. Mystic River is a great movie but i think the end would have been better if it was a little more open-ended. Still loved it though.

I concur, gave away their money??? AND worst of all, they ended it with the worst band and the worst song: Smashmouth's All Star. How many times did they milk that song in ads and shrek and other shit. Ugh I hate that song. They come from my town of San Jose too *shudder*

maybe because that long pipe you kept lighting and holding to your mouth contained something TO make the movie funny? :D

Shitty endings suck, yes, but some people LIKE ME, haven't seen certain movies so you might want to mark spoilers on the Matrix Revolutions post. Yes I know it's been out a while, but still.

Did you ever plan to watch the movie or are you just bitching.

I would have changed Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions like this:

spoilers

Bane is a character nobody gives a damn about. He gets taken over by Agent Smith, end of his development. It would have been better if a character we care about gets taken over by Smith. Neo killed Bane without a second thought, because Smith took over him. But what if Smith took over Trinity? He'd have a much harder time.

For some reason, Message in a Bottle. I watched it a few years ago and it was an alright movie while it was going, but
**SPOILERS**
the ending was just so fucking sad and worthless. I ended up hating it when it was over.

Movies..how many times have you seen something good, and at one point in the movie, it just shaq-fus the whole movie all up? Example, Matrix Revolutions. How the shaq-fu do you end a movie with a shaq-fuing rainbow?

I cant think of how i wouldve ended it but not like that. Im sure ill think of more as they come to me..just wanted to get the ball rolling.

I like this thread but I dont like the topic line: Its too vague. You should change it to "How would you have done the ending to Matrix revolutions"

Yeah Bluetoast that would have been a cool twist. But honestly, did they have time for more plot twists in that movie. They crammed way too much in there. As for the ending, I dunno it kinda made sense. A rainbow...new hope for cooperation between man and machine.

The sequels weren't the best movies, but I think part of that had to do with the fact that the first was so good and they couldn't possibly live up to it. I mean you can't unknow what the Matrix is and that anticipation was what made the first one so interesting.

*Matrix Revolutions spoilers*

I probably would have ended with Neo's funeral in Zion

*end spoilers*

On an unrelated note, I wonder if Matrix Revolutions would have been more poorly received if Return of the King had come out first.

Yes. That was the biggest dissapointment of all: NO FUCKING RATM.

And my vote for worst movie ending goes to ...

American History X. I still think it's a great movie, but somehow the ending seems to run counter to the message of the movie IMO.

*Spider-Man 2 spoiler*

I think it would've been better if Doc Ock didn't die at the end so to leave the door open for the Sinister Six in the next movie. Instead of the arms shutting down, maybe they could've still been subtly moving around - perhaps building up control of Octavius' comatose body.

One ending that the more I think about it, the more I love it is Battle Royale:

*Spoilers*

The whole bit with the evil teacher just getting up to answer the phone after he collapses, then dying is just brilliant to me. I've often gone to great lengths simply to set up a cheesy joke, and it certainly seems like the entire movie was the set up for this punchline. I love it.

I liked The Hulk until the end. The end was just too crazy. It would have been better if his dad just hulked out and they just beat the crap out of each other.

Van Helsing had another horrible ending but then again the whole movie was horrible so i wasn't expecting any better.
