I picked up Ace Combat & DMC4 LE, couldn't track down BF: BC anywhere. I'm really kicking myself for passing on the Ace Combat flight stick for $39 at this particular store this week (stopped by after a doc appointment, they were selling the LE box without the game for Ace Combat). When I asked for it, they told me that the thing was "shipped to Florida" on Thur. I think it was $39 for the stick and faceplate.. Ace Combat isn't a realistic flight sim by any means, but the flight stick and throttle would have given me a huge edge on live control-wise (PC flight sim junkie). Something was fishy about the whole shipping it off thing, especially after just discovering the astronomical prices for the unit on fleabay. Too bad I can't just plug up my PC Thrustmaster HOTAS into the Xbox.

In regards to the Edge card thing, one store didn't want to stack. I had to convince the clerk.. it really gets on my nerves when they try to push the hell out of the thing as always stackable, and then try to cheat you out of it.

I went to a Gamestop, they didn't have Orange Box for the 360, so I went to another one. 3 employees working there, I picked up the Orange Box, and proceeded with checking out. I had a GBA for trade in, and DBZ Budokai for GC (shouldn't have traded only got 27 cents for it, should have waited to have a lot of GC games on Ebay, but whatever, I didn't pay a cent for that game). No problem with the trade ins, they tested the GBA and looked at the disc, no questions asked, they asked, do you have your EDGE card with you today, I replied, I would like to purchase one, so he tells me my total, I give him the coupon, and I proceed to give him 2 twenties, then he gives on back (some other promotion going on making it lower?, who knows what was going through his mind). I sign the receipt, and ask, where are the discounts on this receipt? They are not on there, then the other 2 employees crowd around confused, the guy thought I was trading in the GBA and Orange Box, and I guess buying DBZ?? Even though it was in a black CD case which GS does not sell that in. So the girl checks me out and I have to go through the process again, sign another receipt and then pay for my EDGE card, she said 12.24 for it, so I was excited, they haven't changed since the increase to 15 at this store for some reason, but I got charged 14.99 looking at the receipt, so no big deal. Then, as she is scanning all of this stuff (EDGE and magazine), she is wondering where the EDGE card went and asked if I had it, she asked if I took it, and I said, I have not recieved it. She then finds it and puts the yellow sticker on the back. I make her walk me through the discounts on the FINAL receipt to make sure its all there. She then looks at me as I am ready to leave and I am just standing there. She looks at me all snippy "is there anything else", I say, yeah is that my EDGE card? Then she hands it to me. The entire time, I knew the price of The Orange Box should be, but I kept my mouth shut to let 3 of them figure it out themselves, heck, they had to use a calculator to figure out the discounts, could not even use the computer. By far, my worst experience at Gamestop ever, I could have done it faster than them, and I don't even know how to work a cash register.

By the way, that guy that say they didn't let them stack the EDGE, go back to the store if its worth the trip within the week, and complain and do the advise of calling the district manager.

The thing I miss most about the old way is being able to search more than 3 stores. There are something like 6 stores within 5 or 6 miles of my apartment, and I can't even count how many there are on my (30 mile) drive home from work. Been having a good run with this coupon so far. Haven't found BF:BC yet, but I'm hopeful to find one before the coupon expires. Did get Lego Indy/Bully/Culdcept and some others I had been looking for. Passed on NGII though.

Did have a couple funny stories from my travels this weekend.

1. Dropped the coupon on 7/4 at a store and the GS employees was angry as hell his internet was out at his house because he had been waiting for this coupon for a long time. I gave him a copy or two so he could use.

2. At another store, I tried to buy Blacksite for $17.99, but it scanned at 29.99 and the employee said he could either sell it to me for $29.99 - coupon and edge, or $17.99 with just edge. I was like WTF, it doesn't make sense that I cannot use the coupon on it as well. I wasn't that set on the game, but for $12 I would have bit, but I didn't really want to get into it with the employee b/c I had to go home to cook out. ;)

3. Went to get Culdcept at another store and the empoyees had the copy in the drawer because they said employees were stealing them. :hot:

A few observations from my Gamestop shopping experience today. After striking-out with extreme prejudice yesterday, my local store had 2 used copies of BF:BC for the 360. Picked one up for $35. So, BF:BC is out there. A typical dunce clerk can't do it, but a manager should be avle to check inventory of other Gstops in their region for any title. Might save some time tryiing to find this title. Also picked-up a new/sealed copy of NFS:Carbon (360) for $10. A pure impulse buy based on price and the fact it was new/sealed. Not really sure if I'll play it anytime soon, Grid & Paradise are taking my driving game time right now. Finally, and this was a bigger surprise than finding BF:BC, the same GS had a new/sealed copy of Mass Effect Limited Edition for $39. I think I paid $80 for my LE through Amazon when the game released, was really surprised to find it @ retail 8 months after release. I kept kicking myself for opening the $80 LE since it became prety rare and is a good LE. Used credit from previous trades for all the above, definitely one of my better GS shopping experiences....

Had AitD price adjusted. The cool thing was that I used credit to buy it, but the guy refunded me $16 cash. Then I went to another store & tried to buy Battlefield, but the guy working said his store is not allowed to take coupons at all because of the promos they were currently doing (extra 50% credit, $20 on systems). You might be surprised, it can't hurt to call him and ask him. If he's a dickhead ask who his supervisor is and how you can get in touch with him. Not many employees want customers speaking to their supervisor about how they don't know how to properly do their jobs. :applause:

No, the MUA dlc has always been 500 points for the packs individually or 800 points ($10) if you the download the pack that has both heroes/villains.

DPI on the printer has to be 600 or above. I usually put my printer to fast draft(300 DPI) to save ink, but it never scans. Set it to 600 DPI and it should always scan.

More often than not, they don't really care if you come in again and use the coupon a second time- even if they do recognize you. But it all depends on the employees at the time, I suppose. If you're asking whether it's tied to your account/EDGE card, I don't believe it is... or if it is, it's not obvious enough that GS employees notice.

I think I've used it like 7 times already, plan to do a few more tomorrow for Condemned 1-2 and whatever other goodies I may find. Then I should be set for a few months (after I pick up SC4 end of this month at least). I have used the coupon 3 times at 1 location, twice at another with no problems. Most of em just say "good job" with stacking it on EDGE.

Just because it's disc only doesn't mean it was stolen. Chances are definitely higher that it is stolen, but some people do throw away/lose their original cases. I know some people that box-up their cases and put all games in a binder. Some of them even just throw away the cases and don't always keep the manuals.

Well you have to think of it like this. Its the Wii. The main audience that nintendo has made for the Wii are Old people/soccer moms and Kids. Kids don't take care of games like adults do and cases get lost and destroyed. Thats what might have happend.

Now if you saw someone trade in 8 copies of Civ Rev disk only and 4 disk only copies of UTIII... and the CSR was fine with that. Then yes they take stolen merch.

Play GHA quickly; you may want to bring it back to them. It can be beaten in a day (if you are experienced). Only 31 songs in the career mode and there are some more unlockable songs in the vault. Some of the games are quite fun (STP sex type thing and Aerosmith's movin out), but it didn't have the stamina to warrant me being out about $36 - I don't see how this game won't be $29.99 or less in a couple of months new.

dude i almost gave up on culdcept saga but after you get the hang of it it's a fun game. Horrible totorial. You will do most of your learning from making mistakes. after you get over that it's pretty rewarding. It's much better then eye of judgement.

Picked up Bully and Katamari...I was debating Orange Box and Lost Planet, but considering I have too many shooters, I picked up Katamari instead.

And yes, the next coupon is 25% off PS3 games. I confirmed that with an employee while getting my games. However, I may be wrong but definitely it will be the PS3 coupon.

dude i almost gave up on culdcept saga but after you get the hang of it it's a fun game. Horrible totorial. You will do most of your learning from making mistakes. after you get over that it's pretty rewarding. It's much better then eye of judgement.

I've been playing it this evening, and I've had a great time with it. I'm really surprised, but in a good way. The tutorial does suck hairy toes, but with trial and error things are falling into place. I almost panicked when I saw the thickness of the instruction manual; but alas I am totally satisfied with this game and very glad I took the chance on it.

i found two copies of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution and i also found a used battlefield bad company i picked them all up, but as i was checking out i saw a kid not sure how old he was probably about 11 or so, talking with his mom and his mom was telling him to get a cheaper game cause she couldnt really afford it, so i checked out at the register and waited outside i approached them and gave them the coupon and also gave him a copy of civilization revolution at no charge, his mother tried to pay me but i declined.

Greasemonkey script I wrote last night/this morning to look for coupons:

enter a number 1 higher than the previous coupon (i.e.: the previous coupon was 3006095, so enter 3006096)

Step 3:

Don't all try it at once and hammer the server... (basically it just tries incremental coupon URLs until it finds one that works)

As of right now (assuming the script is working properly), I can't find a coupon anywhere in the range from 3006096 to 3010000)

Yeah, I had created something similar, which is how I'd been getting it early. They haven't uploaded the information yet for the coupon or the ad yet. The largest jump I've ever seen them do is by about 400 in a week.

doing this update from phone, but they might have went to updating first thing in the morning at around 9:30 or 10:00 am est. happy hunting whatever the coupon is.
