Nice.

I'd get this if I wasn't already pre-ordering Fable and Phantom Brave.

I heard unfavorable reviews from my fellow CAG's about this game which is too bad because I like the concept of the game.

If you've got patience, it's not as bad as some people say. The presentation is awesome (as it is with any Rockstar game). It's just the game can be tedious and requires a lot of trial and error. It's almost like a puzzle-strategy game, in that you have to plan out your moves one by one.

In any case, don't let others sway your decision too much. The game is more than worth it if you've got a decent attention span.

The only reason the game's getting attention is because of its violence. Otherwise, everybody would just gloss over such an average game.

I dig it purely for the concept and the brilliant ideas that were put into the game. too bad the execution is where it fails. not a horrible game, at all. actually it's fun if you look past the fact that the 1-on-1 fighting engine is pretty stupid, and the instant kills are reminiscent of Tenchu's 1-hit kill (basically just a cinematic that you receive if you sneak up on them and attack, only Manhunt's system is quite a bit better, and the scenes are much gorier). the game practically forces you to sneak attack everyone, which is why I think everyone complains of it's repetitive nature.

the stealth has it's chare of complaints as well. what kills the whole stealth part is that you can be inches from a hunter's face practically in the wide open but still in the shadow of a truck, and they can't see you. kinda ruins the gritty realism of the game just cause of this one aspect.

I played through 2 levels and I already am bored and plan on selling it. The game isn't that violent. Wonder why ppl kept saying that. Does it get really violent on later levels or something?

I really enjoyed the game . . . certainly the violence got it a great deal of attention but I found it be gripping movie-like game. It is a one-trick pony, but I felt it did its one trick well. the stealth aspect is well done and I felt real tension as I hid or the moments where I crept upon someone.

I bought it for $35 on the PS2, beat it and sold it off to EBGames for $30 credit. Now I have an Xbox and will rebuy it if I can get the right price.

Sneaking up on people and cutting their heads off . . . seeing a cinema of blood spurting isn't violent?????? The kills are more grusome if you hold out longer on the execution. It is a "boring" game if you prefer guns blazing action . . . I liked the feel of the environments.

Damnit, I have to pay for Fable soon, so I can't get it, eh, I guess the price can only go lower.

the game is a 2 time rental it will take you about 2 weeks to beat because you will get tired of playing it. but if you stop playing when you buy it you will never play it again it took me 6 months to beat it. I would play stop get back to it later on.

I liked it alright, but there is a lot of trial and error to it. Even with the radar, it's really hard to tell where your enemies are positioned. It was for me anyway. I think it's worth $20 if you have the patience and like games of this type (Splinter Cell, Tenchu, Metal Gear Solid, etc). Otherwise, don't bother.
