Simpsons. Nuff said. It's run for 15 years with 16 one the way and a movie in the works. How many sitcoms, let alone cartoons, run for 15 years?
Edit: After thinking aobut the question some more I have found some others that I would like to add to my list, though Simpsons still reigns supreme.
Harvey Birdman
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Futurama
South Park
I'm particularily fond of PTI and Around the Horn
Edit: I forgot about Dead Like Me
i would have to say sienfeld for me followed closely by family guy

BTW, I just saw the "American Dad" Screener and it just plain sucks! Not even close to family guy, even though the same guy created both.

Family Guy, Futurama, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and The X-Files are all at the top of the list for me.

excluding animated shows, my favorite television shows that haven't ended yet are arrested development, curb your enthusiasm, and the sopranos.

'The Job', a short-lived cop show created by and starring Denis Leary. It was so incredibly funny... but it was deemed too racey for primetime and ABC canned it. A shame.

I can't find the first one that I read about it that says that the reason for the movie coming now. It stated that the creators and everyone at Fox had always wanted to do a Simpsons movie, but couldn't come up with anything, so Fow decided to start paying them to come up with an idea and bingo, what do you know they get an epiphone for a concept for a movie.

Simpsons is great but I think they may be running out of ideas. Rather than concentrating on one story throughout the whole episode like they did in the past, they seem to be piecing together shorter stories/jokes together to make one episode.
Malcom in the Middle,
I guess maybe Felicity(don't laugh) - my sister would make me watch it with her and it grew on me.
Star Trek Voyager, less on technical jargon and more social.
Favorite show now: Arrested Development. I don't get why people aren't watching it so CHECK IT OUT on fox before they cancel it!!!

Arrested Development and Family Guy. The last 2-3 years of the Simpsons have sucked. They are definitely running out of ideas (except for the treehouse of horror eps.).

I'd say my all around favorite right now is Dead Like Me. A close second would be Nip/Tuck. Six Feet Under used to top the list, but the 3rd and 4th seasons have been a little bit of a let-down. The same goes for the Sopranos - I only really loved the first season. Oh, and Family Guy is unbeatable, but that goes without saying.

Nip and Tuck hands down is the best show on TV. After watching the first season on DVD it was one of the best written seasons of television I've ever seen. Season 2 so far has been just as good, if not better. The character depth and development blows any other show out of the water. It's really not even close. After how I follow 24 I never thought I'd cheat with another show :D but it's that damn good. I urge everyone in the strongest possible manner to start watching and pick up season 1 on dvd immediately

I couldn't agree more, except I'd say the last 6-7 years. I stopped watching in season 9 because I thought the Simpsons was getting crappy.

There are several shows that are really awesome, most of them on cable. What happened to the networks? Reality TV blows.
That said my favs on the air now are the Aqua Teens, Chappelle's show and the Daily Show. Of course the Simpsons is excellent as well (the one show on the three networks that's good, ok Scrubs is good too, I'll conceed that.)

Though it hasn't been on the air for years, The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Nickelodeon really used to be a much better channel, before they fell into the "cheap fart joke" hole that Disney created.
Currently, my favorite TV show is South Park. I really consider it to be the most intelligent show on today, if not ever.

The Simpsons is my all time favorite show, but I can't stand new episodes. So my favorite new episodes come from 24 and The Shield. Both are great shows. Of course, I could go on and on about old shows (well, maybe just Seinfeld and some other random shows...
