Ok. So it's 100 for signing up, then 50 + 50 per day (make a new car + rate a car). Up to a maximum of 2000 points. You'll get your Microsoft Points in an email in September (except for the 100 for signing up).

Well, there's the 200 points that Microsoft doesn't give us when we buy points cards. 300 would have been full vindication (I doubt I'm using that correctly) as everyone gets that 100.

Oh well. A new Rock Band song is always nice.

It's likely this isn't "dead", they've just stopped sending out the emails with the initial code. If you're playing this properly you'll get the point code for whatever you've gathered at the end of the game. Which is good for anyone not interested in cheating the system.

Oh and the address info would only really matter if you actually win a physical prize :lol:

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. I've been playing this game as per the rules, and have about 750 points right now I believe. Only takes about 5 minutes to play a day so if I don't receive the points in the end, no big deal.

But I'm thinking they stopped giving out points due to the abuse, not because they ran out... but who knows.

Looks like you can do this every day and build up a balance, then they will mail you a code in September.

Yep, they fixed it so the system can't be abused again. Now you get 1 code for signing up worth 100 points...and you can only enter 1 code per email on the live points site. Then when the promotion ends you'll get another code that will equal your total amount of points earned.

Register a new email everyday? Make a new car design everyday?

Frankly I'm happy they haven't gone out quite yet. My mailbox was down for over a week, and I lost/missed a boatload of emails (I just got it back). There was no apparent way to change your email address for this promo, so if they went out a day early I would've missed mine :cry:

Got mine too. 1250 points came in 5 different codes( 500x2, 100x2, 50)

update: looks like the 50 point code is region locked for me "The prepaid or promotional code you provided is not valid for your region"
well at least the others worked.
