Quick note about GC is that they ended the policy on taking in used guide for credit. FYI

Boohoo. You can always sell em on eBay. Besides, what does that have to do with what I posted, anyways? Damn newblet.

Front Mission 4 used sounds not bad.

He was talking about how GameCrazy stopped taking in guides. If this is something knew (which I'm not sure it is), then it is much better to mention it in a thread about GC, rather than having to make another thread for it.

I hadn't known this happened, I think my GC still takes in Guides. I know they don't take in any used DC/any sports titles/genesis/saturn/any really old titles games.

Wasn't disparaging GC... It's the primary place I buy games. Only thought the info was useful since the change went into effect just this week.

Well, more like a month ago... it may be a district specific change though. All I know is that our store doesn't take guides (which is kind of stupid, I agree).

Our prices for NES systems are fucking insane. I don't know why they're so expensive. I got my NES at Goodwill for $15, and we sell them for $40. Go figure, indeed.
Anyways, we're having bonus days again. Monday-Thursday we'll be having mad fucking crazy price drops for MVP members. An example is a new copy of Ninja Gaiden for Xbox: Regular price, $49.99, MVP price $40.
Rock!

I apologize...I'm new here, lol. But is GameCrazy a B&M only? The only game store anywhere around me is a small mean little EBGames. Because some of those prices are good and I'd like to pick up a few! Thanks!

The price changes in the OP are for everyone. The MVP bonus days, are, well if you can't figure that out, then you're not the MVP, are you?

First... thank you, redgopher, for keeping us updated with this GameCrazy info. Even though it's on the other side of town, I try to give my local store as much business as I can. The staff there are really cool, love games, and seem to love their job, which is just what a videogame store staff should be like.
So, the MVP special seems to be some price drops for the members. For example, you listed Ninja Gaiden. How exactly does this deal run? Is it like this:
Example 1: Monday-Thursday you can get Ninja Gaiden at a discount.
or
Example 2: Each day has a different title on special. For example, Monday could be Ninja Gaiden, Tuesday could be Spider-Man 2, Wednesday could be Madden... and so on...
I'll probably be on that side of town tomorrow, so thanks for the info. :)

Sucks about the guides thing. I always loved going into game crazy and picking up any used guide I needed for only 2.99. Now where can I get guides? I sure as hell ain't gonna pay $15 retail for a game guide, thats just stupid.

Actually, there is supposed to be this cardboard rack type thing (you probably have seen the Yesterday's Classics, and Classic Plastic cardboard rack for old NES and SNES games) with all the MVP Bonus Days games on there. Anyways, we get a list sent to us every weekend with new games to put out on the rack. So no, it isn't a single game, its a whole bunch of them... like, A LOT. Seriously. We've got mad effin discounts for people with MVPs. It's absolutely insane.

hey redgopher, there are rumors that Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, Jak 2 and Socom 2 are going Greatest Hits soon. Do you have any idea when they'll be GH?
http://ps2.ign.com had a story about this.

So, does the MVP card always give you 10% used games? Or a special price for MVP members? I have been in a GC maybe once, and was thinking of becoming a member. Also does it cost anything? Thanks.

Here's how an MVP card works:
You buy one for $19.99, and it lasts one full year.
You get 10% off all used games and accessories.
You get 10% extra store credit when you bring in your used games and accessories.
MVP bonus days is for MVP card holders only, and we discount new games by a lot (ONLY if it has an MVP bonus days sticker on it... you do not automatically get 10% off new stuff)
There are absolutely no discounts on systems with the MVP card.
Hope that helps :)

I might go get that Catwoman, even though I've heard it's pure crap.
EDIT: EB has Catwoman for 19 as well.
Talk about a quick price drop. The GBA version is higher ($29.99) than the XBox, PC, GC, and PS2 versions. Insane.
