Me too. :( Damn that sucks. I was looking forward to that. Sam and Max Hit the Road was one of my favorites back in the day.

That sucks.. I loved the old adventure games. What was everyones favorite? I think mine was Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis or DOTT.

I actually finished Sam and Max for the first time a few weeks back - came out long before I got into adventure games.

This is disappointing. I'm starting to believe we'll never see ANY Lucasarts adventure games ever again... :(

i now officially hate both sega and lucas arts now. sega for cancelling the new vectorman (those damn bastards), but lucas arts much much more for cancelling full throttle and sam and max. they actaully said that people wouldnt like a new full throttle. first jar jar now that. lucas is seriously out of it.

i need my funny game fix. There hasnt really been anything taht funny lately. I play MDK2 and Earrthworm jim for laughs and fun...and thats about all thats left..

I like Sam and Max but I think I like DOTT better. The controls are alot easier to use I think. Still, I hate to see this game be cancled :(

This is pretty sad, but I doubt they would have broken even making this game, considering there's not a large market for adventure games and only a select few remember the Sam and Max legacy.

Yup. Adventure games slowly disapeared when 3D acceleration started becoming the in-thing. I blame Quake. Damn you Quake, you killed Sam and Max!

Wshakspear: Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Armed and Dangerous are supposed to be pretty funny. They didn't really do it for me though - Brittish dick and fart humor isn't my bag.

Gamespot has an article about how Sam & Max 2 will be published as a 'value' title for consoles by some other company.

Are they not paying attention or is it a ray of hope?

yep. i found out in the latest egm that they just quietly canned it. vectorman was scuh a revolutionary game. i mean it was 3d graphics on the genesis that didnt look like ass. bastards

This is so depressing. I was looking forward more to that game than to any other this year. I wonder if they thought it wouldn't sell well or if the game design wasn't good enough?
