I really don't know if I should pull the trigger on this. This game was recommended to me but I already have too many games to get to. Also, does this game support the 360 Wireless Wheel?

I never could get into this game. I couldn't get past the fact that there isn't something that tells you where to turn.

Yeah, I hate that in racing games too. Everybody says this game is great, though...

Same. If I wanted a freeroam racing game, I'd play GTA4. I went out and bought Burnout Revenge instead for a couple bucks. Much more fun in my opinion, and it has the Crash and Traffic Attack gamemodes :D

I played the demo and hated the open world. For a racing game, I like it more structured and restricted. Unlocking tracks and cars is rewarding. Also I prefer a variety of weather conditions and locations, which this burnout doesn't offer.

I never could get into this game. I couldn't get past the fact that there isn't something that tells you where to turn.Navigation is a pain in the ass at first, but it can really give you a sense of accomplishment.

I couldn't get into this game when I bought it on release. Put it to the side, and then really played the hell out of it. Paid 60 for it too, still feel like I definitely got my money worth. Especially with the Year of Paradise and the updates with that.

If you don't have BP, have been mulling over whether to get it, and this price is making you think long and hard about it...I'd absolutely recommend.

The deal breaker for me on this game is having to drive all the way back to the start line when you fail to finish/win a race (no restart). Way too much driving required and if you had to do an event multiple times and have to keep back-track driving to the start line, chances are I would bet tired of it really fast. I don't really care for the Midnight Club style of open racing, as well. Still yet, 25.99 is a good price and there is supposed to be some cool, free DL content coming soon.

Excellent price on a great game. I played about 75+ hours before putting it down. I plan on playing again when the DLC hits. Looks like they'll be supporting this game for a while.

As tempting as this is, I think we will get a sub $20 price on this game before the end of the summer. I can wait until then since I've got other stuff to play right now.

I never could get into this game. I couldn't get past the fact that there isn't something that tells you where to turn.
During races there is a subtle navigation aid. The turn signal on the car will turn on and blink in the direction you're supposed to turn. Also, an audible tone is heard (the tone is different for left and right). I didn't notice this at first, because it is very subtle, but once you get used to it, it helps quite a bit.

dude same! it felt wrong to play an open-world burnout game. 3 is still my favorite.....
I HATED the demo for Paradise. I think EA would have been better off if they didn't release a demo for this game. Based on my experience on the demo I said I wouldn't buy the game, but once it dropped to 19.99 on gamefly I decided to give it a try because so many other people had good things to say about the game. Once you get into it the game definitely feels like a Burnout game, and is probably my favorite (old favorite was 3 as well). The game is definitely worth 26 bucks, if you liked previous Burnout games, I think you'll like this one too.

$20 with free shipping for members at Gamefly. You don't have to be a member to purchase the game, but you will pay $3 shipping for not being one.

I *had* Burnout Paradise. It's ok but I don't really want a fucking sandbox in a racing game. I hate when people develop shit just because they can.

Get Burnout Revenge. It's 10x better, has the awesome crash mode and there's a small live community out there racing all the time.

I was happy when I payed full price for this game, worth every penny.

They are also releasing DLC this month, adding many new online modes and a bunch of other stuff. Then, in August, they will be releasing Motorcycles into the game, as-well as a Night Time mode, where you can race around the streets without traffic.

There is also talks that after the Motorcycle DLC, that they might be adding airplanes... yes, airplanes... in Burnout... I love it.

I thought about this strongly at 26 bucks. After that I decided to go the Gamefly route and get it for 20 bucks. I figure if I end up not diggin' it too much I can probably get most or all of my money back through ebay.

My 2 cents.

I love this game. It is one of the most visceral racing games I've ever played. I got it at GS a couple days ago with the current 25% off coupon. I'm tempted to get it via Amazon and return my used copy for something else.

As mentioned previously, the game is 19.99 used at Gamefly. Here is the link:

if it is free DLC than i'll bite, cause EA is making too much $$$ and should give something back to customers for their support

if not, i'll wait

Burnout Paradise is in my opinion the worst of the series. Revenge is the best. I don't know why they changed a good thing with Paradise.

Picked it up along with Call of Duty 2 at $9.90. I normally wouldn't buy this sort of game but I am intrigued by their open-ended race design. It's a strange blend of realism (must return to start location, no defined race path) and arcade fun (crash crash crash!).

Amazon offers so many deals for the 360 and DS (I have both), I sometimes feel bad for the Sony owners.

It wasn't amazon, blame new york state. They passed some loosely interpreted bill allowing them to tax big sites like amazon and newegg. Amazon is currently fighting it since they know one main draw of their site is no tax and they don't want to lose 18 million new york customers.

Excellent deal, I got mine for $39.99 a few months back.

I too was one of those that did not like the demo; it just seemed to throw you on the street and say "go." I was like, "where?" It sat around for awhile but I have since come back to it and am about 15 races from my Burnout license. Driving back to reset races is probably the biggest drawback, with no easy 'reset race option." Looks gorgeous on my 42" screen as well.

It is a big departure from previous Burnout entries (loved Revenge as well), but once you get used to the city layout and find the shortcuts (and there are A TON of them), it starts to come together. I'm not a sandbox guy myself (own GTAIV, still haven't played it LOLOL), but this game is fun.

It's definitely worth $26.
