What exactly is the deal for that?
Because I randomly have one that I just got a couple of days ago where they forgot to circle the thingy.

if they don't circle it they are supposed to give you an extra 10% on your next trade in.

hows that work with trade 3?
And does it have to be the location they didn't circle it at?

I would assume it is not combinable with any other offer, such as the trade 3.

extra 10% on your next trade. not combined with other deals. i would take it back to the same store, if you do it at another store you will probably get bad looks for the rest of your life.

well the store I got it from will probably give me bad looks so I was tempted to bring it to a store that is nicer or that I probably wont visit as much.

When I worked at EB it had to be the same location for the deal to work... but I never actually had to deal with it. I just know that if it was from a different store that store was the only one that could validate it.
I don't get it. I always thought the circling was just a reminder to trade stuff in. I can't believe they actually have a policy in place about it...

For me they stacked the 10% on top of the trade in 5 and get $20 extra credit.

Way back when I worked there and it was just starting out, they tried to be super prominent about it. We even had a display mat on the till counter advertising the new policy, and we caught hell if we ever forgot to do it.
Of course, I think one person in all my time there actually cashed in on an uncircled receipt.

Same here.. interesting, really. I'm going to check a bunch of my old receipts just for the fun of it.

Extra 10% for trade-3 would be useless, no? Even if it stacks, a $7 game would be worth $7.70, not $8.
I've never gotten an uncircled receipt. One of these days I'm going to try distracting them and grabbing the receipt before they circle it. "Hey look a hoarder!"

Ask them to scan the barcode on the poster. The POS WILL STACK IT WITH OTHER PROMOTIONS....done it tons of times....

Alot of the games I get from EB have a little circle engraved on the cover from the person circling the reciept with it on top of the game D:

I actually noticed this on a DS game I recently bought. I was like WTF.

Most guys at my EBs just use their finger nails since the receipt paper marks super easily.
