Hey guys, I'm an Xbox Live Newb (just got it today actually) and was wondering what games people still play. I have Top Spin and was able to find some good games, and I plan on getting crimson skies and PGR2. Anything else (besides Splinter Cell:PT) I should get thats still viable on Live?
Also... anybody play PSO? Last time i played it was on DC and it sucked 300 hours of my life away. Is the PSO community newb friendly?

Idon't have an Xbox, but I would imagine since it has been so long since PSO came out for Xbox, most of the people left playing it are the really big fans of the game, not a ton of newer players. That being said, if there are only very few players left, they might be thrilled to have you, and be more than willing to help you out until you get a handle on things.

most games minus the really obscure ones like Outlaw volleyball and SW:Clone wars usually have people on durring prime time. Don't be afraid of getting a live game and not finding people to play. Most of the games still have people playing.

Splinter Cell: PT is no fun on Live due to cheap players.
ESPN NFL 2K5, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six 3 and Rainbow Six: Black Arrow seem to be the most popular games on Live right now.
I wish more people played Midtown Madness 3. It seems the only people are play are British people around 3am.

pumbaa, how are you at Top Spin?
Another good XBL game that comes to mind is Tetris. Its fun and you don't really encounter as much dumbasses as you normally would.

Whacked! still has players. It's maybe not the best game but it's fun every now and then. To many kids though.
Links is a good game, still has players to.
Trivial Pursuit has some players.
Full Spectrum Warrior has players, just host a game and someone's bound to join. Co-op only game.
From what I can tell no one plays World Championship Pool or Carve anymore.

I still play Mechassault regularly and you can always find plenty of people there until about 5-6am.

ESPN 2K5 is BIG right now...best Football on LIVE. The stats and everything they give you are crazy too...especially in the league.
Rainbow Six is fun....PRG2, Rallisport2.

I had to give up tetris due to the fact that I got bent over and shaq-FU'd by some old house wife that was the Tetris QUEEN..........That day changed my life forever.....I wept like a baby for days and now tetris/starwars sits locked in my safe so that I don't have to bear the shame of looking at it. I never felt so dirty.......

For as old as Mechassault is.. its amazing the number of people that still play it nightly. And I disagree about Splinter Cell: PT, it just depends on who who play with... with decent players its one of the best online gaming experiences you could get.
Feel free to send me an invite sometime - GT: Cornfedwb.

Ghost Recon, Star Wars:Jedi Academy is one I want to get into.
Crimson Skies is a great Live game and since it's not very old, still has lots of people playing.

Crimson Skies is a great Live game and since it's not very old, still has lots of people playing.I picked up Crimson Skies at the TRU sale along with a Live starter kit, and it has a bunch of people playing. Really fun game. MechAssult is fun too, except when people use Ymir and Ragnarok....I don't like that.
