I bought mine used from there and had no problems with it, although I didn't use it online.

i bought one that was supposedly used at Gamestop but I think it was brand spankin new, has plastic cover over connector, yellow sticker over the hone jack, no scratches over the screws, booklet, disc everything.....

I think I'd rather order it refurbished for $20 from www.outpost.com with free shipping.[/url]

I bought a "white box" network adapter from Fry's/Outpost. Worked just fine. I needed to download the manual from the website, but I could not be happier with my purchase.

Be sure you register your PS2 and your Network adapter, esp if you have a braodband connection, at us.playstation.com. Once you have registered your hardware, you have a better chance of getting on the Gaming Advisory Panel, and then becoming a beta tester.

I just got my $20 outpost "white box" version since they're offering free shipping on it, and my local Fry's sells it for $30. Looks to be in excellent condition (haven't used it yet).

I assume this "white box" is a third-party version of some sort?

No, its first party, but you just get the adapter, and not the regular retail box.
Hence the term, "white box".

I doubt it will ever be half price -- at least until the PSTwos and PS3s come out.

I bought mine at K's Mechandise brand new for $30. Although I only had the change to play it twice, with HSG3 online, the NA rocks.

I canceled my XBL subscription when I got it.
