Okay, i have recently found out that my ps2 slim's AC adaptor was one of many that were recalled, yes I know this was years ago, but I never knew about this back in 04 when i had gotten my system, and I am now wanting a replacement because my AC adaptor has completely stopped giving power to my ps2, thus it will not turn on. I went on the playstation site to fill out the form for a replacement adaptor, unfortunately one of the "required" fields asks me for my ps2 model and BARCODE!!. Yes, I know where to look for this info on my ps2, but the sticker that was once under my ps2 is no longer, idk what happend to it dont ask. My question is this, is there anyway i can find out my ps2 model# and barcode(wishful thinking) without that sticker? I think you can find out the model number by turning on your ps2 but like i said my adaptor is no longer giving power to my ps2 so i cannot turn it on. If there is no way to find out my model# or barcode, if anyone has gone through this with the replacement of the defective adaptor, do i REALLY need this info to get one? I have all the other info on my adaptor such as the manufacturer and date etc etc. will calling sony or emailing them about my situation with the model# and barcode be more useful? Thanks so much:)
