Pretty good deal on VJ. I think having Dante is worth the extra $3.

damn I already have viewtiful joe for GC, I dont know if I should spend another 22 dollars for the ps2 version. Playing as Dante seems really cool though but I really need to save up. Anyone else here kind of iffy on buying the ps2 version because they already own the gamecube version?

I did this before once myself, all depends on the person working.

You're right, but seeing as the GCN version is $20.. with the GGC it becomes $15. Therefore, $8 more for the PS2 version just for Dante.
And I can't imagine someone paying $23 for another copy of the same game just to play as Dante (who has to be unlocked by playing through the game once). Spend your $23 on a completely different game, it'll be better spent.

I thought about it. But Dante is really just a skin. He really has no other different moves from what I read in reviews.

I had read that he will have some differences, much like the other unlockable characters in VJ.

Ive also read though that the PS2 version has some slowdown where the Gamecube didnt and that some graphical effects such as translucency has been taken out so the game could run smoother. Given these facts, Id rather have the GC version for the cheaper price.

I agree. The addition of Dante isn't enough for me to throw in another $30. I could barely unlock any of the characters in the GCN VJ anyway.

I highly doubt that I will pick up anything this week, though VJ does sound good. Oh well at least I get to save up.

I have a feeling that this fridays ad will contain a lot of good deals. There has been a lot of price drops on games and Frys is known to sale them for even cheaper when a price drop occurs. I hope Samurai Warriors PS2, Front Mission PS2 will be on sale.
