My new card finally came in today. I won't be buying anything else for it for a few years now.

I think they recently hit as low as $70 or something after rebates.

Is it a huge improvement over something like a 7900GS? I'm getting a refurb dell very soon and need a gfx card on the cheap for it. I was looking at the 9600 GT, but for cheap I could do that.

I never understood why they make the heatsink/fan thing look so fancy on the new cards. Even with a case that has a window you still only see the top of the card :-s
