So, yeah, the title says it all.

I just moved my computer to a different room. All I did was unplug it, and now all of my Firefox setting are completely gone. All my bookmarks, everything.

Does anybody know how to fix this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

That doesn't sound right.

Even without power, your hard drives should still contain whatever data that was written to it before unplugging it. The only thing I could think of is that Firefox didn't close down properly and your settings/bookmark files were corrupted.

That happened to me long ago.

Firefox has a feature that allows you to set up different profiles. Usually when I hear about someone having all of the bookmarks and things poof it decided to change the profile for them. I don't know why it happens and unplugging your computer wouldn't cause it by itself, but it's all I've got. Sorry.

Check: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles

Firefox probably did not shut down correctly and started up a new profile whenever you turned your system back on. Check to see where your profiles are located to see if there's more than one profile listed.

Next time, install the Foxmarks extension.

Well, I usually back up things constant, but that's cuz I've used FF since it was called Firebird. Regardless, I have no idea how settings can suddenly "disappear". I've never had to recreate my profile since I started going with the standard installs (not the optimized zip builds).

Thank you everyone. I knew it had something to do with the Firefox profiles, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn them back on...

I'll keep looking.
