Winners thus far:
Cleaver - RE: Dead Aim (round 1)
Stealthy Seal - NOLF 2 (round 2)
Zewone - NOLF 2 (round 2)
Kaw - Roadkill and Enclave (Round 3)
Well, as it turns out, round 2 was way too easy - not enough people had a chance. So, without further ado ....
The third round of free game trivia is here. The first person to post a full correct answer will win a sealed copy of Roadkill for the Gamecube and a sealed copy of Enclave for the Xbox.
Question:
What do Lee Marvin, Vincent Price, John Lithgow, Lily Tomlin, Roddy McDowall, Jack Klugman, Kevin Bacon, Shatner, Robin Williams, and Charlton Heston have in common?
Edit - A bit of clarification based on cleaver's response, tobey maguire (spiderman 2) and marky mark (three kings) do not share this characteristic in common.
More clarification based on Crissy1616's answer, Matt Broderick (The Producers) and Sebastian Bach (Jeckyll and Hyde) do not share this characteristic in common.
A correct answer will include example(s) for each person.

Technically correct, but not what I'm looking for. I mean, c'mon, virtually every hollywood hack has been in a movie with a number in the title.
For example, tobey maguire (spiderman 2) and marky mark (three kings) do not share the same characteristic in common.

Odd - Shatner was in a movie called "Horror at 37,000 feet" and a Zone episode called "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" - I guess there's a lot of horror going on for him up high.

Same as cleaver's answer - technically true, but nearly all hollywood types have dabbled in stage performance at some point in thier career.
For example, Matt Broderick (The Producers) and Sebastian Bach (Jekyll and Hyde) do not share this characteristic in common.
The correct answer is relatively specific to the names listed.

Only a handful of big name actors that share this characteristic were left unlisted. - for example, Ed Begley Jr. also shares this characteristic, even though his relationship is not required in the answer.

Unless, of course, The_Continental comes by and awards his prize.

Can you tell us how you came to your answer?
The_Continental
08-26-2004, 08:07 AM
Kaw - I notice you're from upstate New York, same as Rod Serling - how cool is that?
I've always liked the Twilight Zone so I saw a definite connection there with a lot of the names. However, there were names like Lily Tomlin and Robin Williams that didn't fit at all with the show or Serling so I thought I was on the right path, but hadn't quite nailed it. It was actually when I was researching Lily Tomlin when it hit me. I saw she was in the "Incredible Shrinking Woman", and I remembered seeing a similar Twilight Zone episode "The Incredibly Shrinking MAN". Once I looked who wrote it (Robert Matheson) all the pieces fell into place.
It was a very cool contest. One where you couldn't just plug the names into Google and have the answer appear in front of your nose. I applaud your efforts, there were a couple times I almost gave up!
Thanks Continental for running the contest!
I actually live in Binghamton, NY where Rod Serling grew up (coincidence, I think not *insert creepy Twilight Zone music*). Serling's presence is still felt in the community with a video festival, and a school of fine arts named after him.
