Ok,
I see all these people claiming to receive items from sites such as Rewards1 and Prize Rebel...etc.
If using real info...
1. Do they call your phone #? (Telemarketers and such)
2. Do they send you junk mail? (real mail...not e-mail)
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum...I'm new here.
Thanks

well from me, they take too long to do (my opinion)
you cant be sure about the telemarketers, just hang up, they'll get your phone number anyways
not really,not more than usual

Junk Mail is a definite probability, but not a biggie.
Call's are less likely.
They are legit, but you have to follow the regulations to a T.

The sites in my sig work. I do get a couple calls, but when I realize it's a telemarketer, I just tell them something like "I think those were the previous owners of this house." or something else so they would stop calling.

On most of the free offer sites I use fake phone numbers and have never gotten bothered about it.

Not sure about Prizerebel and Rewards1 but the lagoons I use (sig) have not sent me junk mail/or called me. I gave them my cell number and I don't get any telemarketers. And all I get in the mail is prizes :). I was really impressed.

Well, 8bitBrad, I would have go with GoddessTio and say that you should use a fake phone number. Also, make a second email address for these sites. And, as long as we're on this topic I'd like to pose a question myself for the CAGers to answer: Are there any "free product" sites where I don't have to spend any money at all?

We have to maintain a landline for our DSL service. I call that my "junk telephone line". I use that number for all contests and websites. I have an answering machine on it. If I legitimately win something, I figure they will leave me a message. If they're telemarketers or wanting to sell me something, they don't leave a message, or else I erase their message. I'm careful with my cell phone number. I am happy that I have a number where someone can call if I legitimately win something. I've just gotten into this "contest entry" stuff about a month ago. My e-mail has increased profusely. I started with "surveys" but they are so time-consuming.
