Isn't this basically store credit? If so, it would hurt your credit score.

Bill Me Later is kind of like an online credit card more so than store credit. The first time you sign up it checks your credit score, but every time after that it just uses your Bill Me Later account.

It's pretty handy these days and a ton of websites now offer payment through them.

I read some strongly-worded negative comments about Bill Me Later....Its my understanding that the customer service isn't all that great. I have never tried it myself..

I saw this around this morning, but didn't think much of it. Besides, I think TRU has the same type of deal with Bill Me Later. Negative feedback or not, I would trust something called that, its like subliminally reassuring you as you step into debt

I used it to order some Batman and Marvel trade paper backs.

I don't know. I've used it with the occasional deals offered through TRU. I repay it as soon as I can, so I haven't had issues with it. Just know the interest rate is (unsurprisingly) high. Last time I checked I think it was like 13%.

13 percent is actually quite "low" for credit cards and the like. I think Best Buy and Circuit City cards get up there in the low to mid 20 percent range.

I've used Bill Me Later quite a bit (mostly for NewEgg, Deep Discount, and BH Photo purchases). I've never had a problem with them and I've been using it for a few years now.

The APR on this is 19.99 percent.

From the site:
What is the Annual Percentage Rate?
The Annual Percentage Rate is 19.99%. The Minimum Finance Charge is $2.00. Of course, you can choose to pay your entire balance by the payment due date and pay no finance charges.

I would rather stick with my 6.9 percent amazon card percentage rate. (Even though I don't carry a balance.)

My first post! I'm a long time lurker, just never had any deals to contribute.

Bill Me Later does a hard pull on your credit record, so it may cause your fico score to drop temporarily.

It's like a credit card with regular billing cycles and whatnot, but you can only use it at sites that accept it. You get monthly statements if you have a balance and you can pay online. The web site is simple in comparison to my other credit card sites, but they dont offer all of the things your normal cc does.

There are a lot of sites (like B&H photo, drugstore.com) that offer 90 days no payment with BML, so as long as you pay your bill within 90 days, no interest fee. Continental Airlines used to be 6 months no interest with BML, which was nice when for spring break :).

BML's customer service is all right. I've called them once with a question and the woman answered it quickly and she was nice. That doesnt really say much since I've never had an issue since I started using them about a year and a half ago or so.

So, as long as you don't need to apply for a loan in the immediate future and you pay your bill on time or within the no-interest alloted time frame, you're golden. I use it only on sites that offer the no-interest for x amount of days and pay it off in time, otherwise it's not really worth it.

Seriously, but it always is for some reason. People act like credit inquires are the only thing that go into making up your credit score. In reality, inquires make up a very small percentage of your score. Far more important are things like outstanding debt, whether or not you pay your bills on time, and how long of a credit history you have.

Thats because morons like to talk out of their ass instead of research things on FatWallet Finance or CreditBoards.

The $10 looks like a weak deal considering that you have to give out your SSN and sign up for a credit card like account that's going into your credit report. Might as well look for a better, real credit card sign-up offer? Or am I missing something?

Very simple and quick way to save 10 bucks off the Soul Calibur arcade stick. This isn't going to ding your credit score like some of these paranoid people are saying.

As long as you pay on time, anyway. And seriously, if you spend $50 you have to pay $40. How could you not afford to pay $40 on time?

Just paid off my bill. Looks like they have decent offers from time to time so hopefully this can turn into potential savings down the road.

I never got this code to work during the timeframe. It kept telling me my order didn't qualify, but when I looked up that huge list of what qualifies, there was nothing wrong with my order! And Amazon even had a note on the product page that said it qualified for the $10 off! Oh well, their loss.
