Whose Circuit City started selling used games already?

Both of my Circuit City stores have begun to sell used games now, though I didn't really look through most of the rack of games they had.

However, I did notice that they had Assassin's Creed for PS3 for $24.99, when it's still selling for $59.99 most places. So, I imagine that if this side venture on CC's part takes off, Gamestop may have something to worry about.

So, what kind of prices have you seen on which games lately?

I didn't check unfortunately, but I DO hope SOMEONE can come along and give GS some REAL competition for the used game market. CC selling used games, coupled with at LEAST one Hollywood Video opening up a used/new game shop in store in early August will hopefully give GS the competition they need around here.

I'm still kicking myself though, since I should've splurged and bought Uncharted from the one local shop for $25, since that's another game I wanna place but I know I won't pay over $20-25 for the game.

It's $24.99 at GS... it was $24.99 last week too when I went to use the 25% off used PS3 games coupon.

Assassin's Creed is 19.99 used at GameCrazy, 17.99 with MVP :D

Only problem with Gamecrazy is, the closest one to me is around 35 or so miles from me, so the gas alone would kill any deal.

But, I KNOW I should've grabbed Uncharted and that it'll be GONE if I went to go grab it tomorrow. I just KNOW it.

EDIT: Oh and FYI, CC changed the barcode on the Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 DVD to come up $49.99, since there was a sticker over the original UPC today. I figured that maybe the dvd would ring up $1 or $5 or something cheap and I'd grab a copy or two.

It rings up AS the game now, since they tried adding a $10 gift card to the mix and it brought up the $10 gift card promo from the game from their ad this week.

So I guess that's how CC got around having leftover copies of the dvd lying around, unlike Best Buy, who I think just pennied them.

The Circuit Cities in Roanoke, VA and Harrisonburg, VA have been selling used games for about 2 years now.

Usually overpriced, and in the 2 rare cases that I found a bargain (Ico $9.99 and Pikmin 2 $13.99), the game didn't ring up in the system and the cashiers had no idea what to do. Eventually had to take it to customer service, have them find the ORIGINAL sku for the games (new) in the system and then mark them down manually. A huge pain in the ass, but I can't complain about the prices.

2 of the CC stores I have been to have used games. Prices are a joke, most are $5 less than the new full price MSRP.

What would be funny is if CC took trade ins, in store and the system didn't update to lower values when a clearance started. Like if a game dropped from $59.99 to $16.96 but still traded in for $25 (made up trade in value), then you could flip games like crazy.
