A week or two ago I got these coupons in the mail from Half Price Books, which is a national chain in several states that sells new and used books, cds, DVDs, and video games at 50% off retail. I sometimes find good deals at this store on vintage console games, new PC games, and strategy guides.

I don't know if they'll accept scans or not but it doesn't hurt to try. I received the coupons in the mail, but they do e-mail them out as well. Be sure to add yourself to the mailing list so you can get future coupons:

The coupons are:

40% off a single item - July 14-15 only
30% off a single item - July 16-17 only
20% off a single item - July 18-19
50% off a single item - July 20 only

There's a store local to me that has some decent but overpriced PSX games like Tactics Ogre that are worth using the 50% off coupon for.

Also, this chain is a great place to find cheap comic books.

Just so you know, there's some extra info in the barcode of the coupon strip; looks like some sort of identification number, so they may not accept scans.

I picked up a new copy of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation on HD-DVD for $2.99 @ HPB today. These coupons are great for getting BluRays and especially HD-DVDs on the cheap (if you can find them)!

Nice. Like the guy in that slickdeals post, I grabbed a copy of FF7 last time they had one of these sales, though mine was about $30.

Flipped it on ebay for close to $60. Pretty sweet.

I think there was a copy of one of the Parasite Eve games at a local store recently, I'll grab that if I can, but otherwise I'll probably sit this one out as the 25% off PS3 sale has me set for quite a while.

Correct. They have some kind of association with an online store, I think they may share some inventory, but the coupons wouldn't work.

Earlier this week, I used the 40% off to get DMC3 PC for ~$5, and today used the 50% off coupon and picked up Halo 2 PC for ~$13.

Picked up Revenge of the Sith for 5 bucks. I used a printed out coupon and let my dad have the "real" one they mailed, so no problems with printouts. I believe the cashiers pretty much expect everybody in the store to get 50% off an item (the store was packed, usually the one I go to hardly has 10 people in at a time) so no eyebrows were raised at all at the printoff I used.
