Increased shipping costs at Newegg?

Is it me, or did Newegg increase their base shipping costs again? It used to be $3.99, then it went to $4.99. Today, I was looking for a decent memory stick pro duo and noticed that they are now charging $6.99 for three day! WOW!

Yup, you're right, I just checked one of my old purchases and it used to be $4.99 as you said.

Gas is also a lot more expensive than it used to be and all the shipping services have increased their rates accordingly.

I seriously doubt Newegg is gouging you on shipping, it's just a consequence of our shitty economy. It does suck though, since tax already kills a lot of deals for Cali folk; increased shipping rates don't help.

I agree, it's probably gas. I buy a lot of postage and the cost of an express post label for a document label in Canada has gone up about $2 in the last year or so
